IlladelphParticipantsaw some of the Kentucky Bahamas games and Herro really stood out. Extremely efficient, smooth, scorer who averaged 17 points per game over 4 games. Shoots the long ball well and has a pretty stroke. Kinda reminiscent of Devin Booker. He hs kind of an uber confident, tough guy attitude as well. I really like this kid. Only ranked 37 out of high school but I think he is going to look like a lottery pick by January or February. Anyone else see this kid play? Comps?

ChewyParticipantbut I liked watching his mixtapes and am excited to see him play in college. Seems like the type of player who won’t fold playing under the pressure of the BBN.
This UK team has vets and shooting on top of what they normally have which makes them very dangerous.

CoachWyersParticipantHe reminds me of Nik Stauskas. Pure shooter with a quick release, good size, not great athlete may struggle with quickness of NBA, not very strong and may struggle defensively, not a great ball handler/slasher. Basically projects as a role playing shooter as of now to me.

Arc12345ParticipantI’m not sure you’ve watched Herro play enough if you think he’s not a great ball handler. He has a tight handle that I’d say is most certainly a strength at the 2 guard position.
You’re right, he doesn’t have elite length or strength, but I truly believe this is overrated as he’s a good athlete (albeit not an elite one).
It’s hard to compare him to anyone, but I think Booker is a good comparison. I see more Redick with a much craftier handle and scoring.

RUDEBOY-ParticipantOn the Bahama trip Quickley has outplayed Green & Hagans for the right to start at pg. Could Cal go with a 3 guard lineup of Johnson,Herro & Quickley and Reid and Washington or Richard up front! The SEC might be the best Conference this season.

Andrew1984ParticipantI saw him at the Hoop Summit and I came away impressed. I like the way he carries himself; quiet but confident, businesslike. Not flashy, moves efficiently.
The Gary Harris version of a PG, perhaps.

iCalledBankParticipantHerro is a 6’5 2 guard and not a pg

Andrew1984ParticipantHow about just Gary Harris, then? I thought I saw Herro listed at 6-2 somewhere, which didn’t sound right to me after having seen him in person

55% Rex Chapman

Two former Wildcats.

SubZeroParticipantDan Dakich and Seth Greenberg wouldn’t shut up about the Rex Chapman comparison during the Bahamas games, and a lot of older Kentucky fans were making the same comparison
Herro himself first gave the Booker comparison and I think it fits. Obviously I don’t think he’ll be on Book’s level but their style of play is very similar

CoachWyersParticipantRex Chapman was so athletic and a highflyer something that Herro is not at all.

OhCanada-ParticipantOne of my favourites in the draft I think he’s a lock for the lottery.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThank God you guys compared him to Booker, who’s at least half black. That’ll keep the user rtbt from showing up and ripping y’all to shreds lol.

HobbyOGParticipantIt’s funny to me that they compare every white player to a white player and black to a black. And they compared Devin Booker to Klay, why? Cuz they both mixed lol..
