Tuesday morning Flynn and Jennings go head to head 4 the Nets. Who you got on that day?
I like seeing these two prospects having the heart to go head to head. Who wins tuesday when they go head to head?
Flynn, he's more mature and his leadership ability is fantastic. He's a real floor general. I must say however, that I dont know why NJ would want a PG when they have other more pressing needs.
They are both pretty good. I kind of want to give Jennings the edge because he played in a more competitive league (being he was already pro). Hes also more of a scoring guard in my opinion. Flynn has a chance because of his quickness to go to the hole, although I hear he cant shoot and that hes a pure PG that looks for assist more than points. All in all its going to be a great battle, that will probably come down to their defensive abilities.
The better defender will win. I suspect thats Jennings. I also don't see why the Nets are bringing them in, but they said Hansborough is in that day too. They might really want Tyler in that slot. It could be too early to be taking him. We'll see.
Jennings had more comp? He sat on a bench. The big east was pretty tough this year.
I know he sat on the bench this year, but you still cant take away the fact he played professionaly. The Big East may have been tough, but not all of them are going to play pro like Jennings had the opportunity to do straight out of high school. Jennings still had to practice with his team and get better playing actual pros. But, I will say Flynn was a great player in the arguably toughest conference in basketball last year. But, once again I say Defense will be the deciding factor.
Btw, one-on-one will be different than playing an actual game...the different situation could break either player.
actually has said he wants them to draft Flynn or rather he'd be fine with the idea although it doesn't make much sense in why he would want another PG there when they can use their pick on a BIG MAN in which they really need a PF to play along side Brook Lopez because Yi just doesn't seem to fit yet. Who knows, a SF isn't a bad idea ala James Johnson?
I thought one of jennings problems was that he went for flashy steals -and got burned a lot - rather than staying in front of his man and playing good defense? So I dont know how he's the better defender.
Personally I would take BJ in any one on one comp. Dude is a prototypical iso player, a viewers dream and coaches nightmare?
harris is aware of the carter rumors and he wants to be the 2 guard intead of the 1(since he is more of a scorer than he is good at creating 4 others) and flynn or jennings play the 1
Jennings wins one on one but it would be close in a team game.
One on one means crap, they should waste their pick, they should trade down for a later 1st rouder , pick up second rounder ( eg ty rice, t douglas or aj price, and use the 1st rounder on psycho T
