Ahkasi ClayParticipantIf every NBA team had a bad season. (like the nets did last year.)
Which Fans would be the first to Jump off the band wagon?
and what Cities would still have their fans support? For me I would pick
Fair Weather Fans:
Orlando (City has to many other things for fans to do)
and
Lakers (we have seen it before – Between Shaq and Gasol when they were average at best)True Fans
Knicks (lets face it they have been thru some bad years. -Thanks Mr. Thomas- and they are as passionate as ever0
And OKC (They love thier Thunder, and are a one horse kinda town)
who do you think?

Toronto16ParticipantWhoa the Thunder have not been in the league long enough to call their fans loyal.

canesboy6ParticipantTruly feel like Miami fans are among the worst in sports. Losers don’t draw there, plain and simple. Except maybe the Dolphins. Heat games are empty even years they are in the playoffs, but not contenders. Same with the Marlins. Then they get good and everybody parties in the streets when they win like they’ve been there the whole time.

TC_42ParticipantThe Ford Center cheered when the Thunder lost to the Lakers in game 6.
That’s loyalty, I don’t care who you ask.

EzeEdParticipantus Clip fans!!! We’ve been trying to turn this thing around ever since the Clips came to L.A. We definitely don’t have a band; hell, we don’t even have a wagon!!! We’re trying man, ONE DAY we’ll join the NBA.

llperezlakers have the most fairweather fans and the most legit fans. They were still selling out every game when they were down. People call them fair weather becasue half the arena is full of rich people who just roll with the good times and buy all the tickets so the true fans cant go.

EzeEdParticipantyou on the Laker fans. Still a laker fan, but after all of the disappoints I’d gone thru with the team, once “we” won all those titles in the 80’s, I didn’t like sharing “my” team with “those” type of fans. When I tell my son that I walked uo to the box office and bought tickets the nite the Forum OPENED, he can’t believe it. But then again, at that time we hadn’t never been NBA champs as the L.A. Lakers before!!! Now, Laker fans know nothing about those bleak days.
Oh, the Forum actually opened on a Saturday nite, the hockey Kings played, the Lakers opened their season the next nite on Sunday——I was there.
But I understand now that I couldn’t keep a “good thing” to myself, so I’ve adjusted. Still love “my” Lakers!!!

ChewyParticipantThe Bulls sell out their home games every year reguardless of what the team looks like. Crawford-Eddie Robinson- Jalen Rose, the bulls still sold out games. One of the highest attendance rates in the league EVERY year.

MagikKnickParticipantClippers fans have to be the most loyal in the world.
Your a LA Homer? Well you like the Lakers
You like teams with great history? Well, Clippers lose again
I respect the hell out of Clippers fans, it takes some serious loyalty to stick with that team through thick and thin

marcusfizer21ParticipantBut yeah, I 100% agree with Chewy right there… Bulls fans are loyal… that even when their team only had guys like Ron Harper, Brent Barry, Bill Wennington and Toni Kukoc in the 1st year of the post Jordan era, you could see fans scattered everywhere… even up to the Jalen Rose era… The fans get rewarded when they received a gift from the NBA by having the number 1 pick in 2008…
The most fairweather fans are the fans in Miami… When Shaq was there, you could see they were almost sold out… But when they were losing so badly in 2007-08, you could see half empty seats even when they had superstar Dwyane Wade… now they reserving tickets just because LeBron is in their wagon… Oh please…

MagikKnickParticipantWhen it comes to attendance Knicks are top dog, how many teams can have a losing record, with no playoffs, and still be top 5 in attendance?
Oh, and Bulls fans are definitely loyal they’ve been top 5 in attendance every year since 2002

BallerzD30ParticipantLakers i think are in between. Celtic fans are loyal and im a Laker fan since i was a kid. Thunder, Knicks, Jazz(gotta love Energy Solutions center. Just the name makes you wanna jump)Cleveland(poor fans but they’ll keep on rootin for their team). Some unloyal ones are Seattle( makes no sense because they wanted to keep their team when they got the lowest ticket sales in history), Detroit, Timberwolves.
*The Bobcats are not sure because they’ve only been in the league a few years. But by the look of their fans they look like they are gonna be pretty loyal, especially if Jordan has something to do with the front office( hope he finally does something good so the fans get happier).0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/21/2010 - 7:47pm #382176
