Troy Murphy is a Celtic
thoughts? because i dont see why he chose to go there
I don't understand this either, but apparently he thinks the Celts have a better chance of coming out of the East than the Heatles.
well where will he play with big baby, green, jermaine, shaq, and kg
Agreed, Heat would've been a much better fit. This now turns the Jeff Green trade into a very good deal for Boston, especially if they were really having trouble negotiating with Perk.
He will be the first PF off the bench. Good pick up. He would have had the same role in Miami since Bosh isn't gonna play center
He can stretch the floor and grab defensive rebounds, but he'll give Doc headaches at the defensive end.
The Heat need to get turnovers and get out and run. That is how the Heat win. C's run, but they execute in the halfcourt on O. He will get easier scoring oppurtunities playing with the C's. He can play center and PF. He will come in on the 2nd unit so he will not have 2 guard scoring PF much. He is a good rebounder and he won't be asked to much outside of grab boards and hit the open J.
He's able to be effective in pretty much all systems because he has the type of game that fits in most systems. He doesn't need plays called for him, shoots the long range jumpers very well, can pass, rebounds and will be physical, and can play decent defense against forwards who don't overwhelm him physically. On the Celtics, he can be very effective coming off the bench hitting the same type of jumpers you see Garnett and Davis hitting consistently, and with more range than the both of them, making him a nice mismatch player offensively. It's a good signing for the Celtics, but you do have to question how the minutes are going to be split in their big man rotation.
