llperezI got one, who scored the most points in the NBA during the ’80’s? Don’t cheat and look it up.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 3:03pm #207939
JNixonParticipantExactly. Alex Smith was a product of that offense, and its a reason I dont think Tim Tebow or any spread offense QB will succeed in the NFL in the near future.

JNixonParticipantUhhh…Clyde Frazier?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 3:06pm #207941
MagikKnickParticipantEnglish….i forgot his first name, but his last name was English
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 3:07pm #207943
llperezAlex English. I believe from 1980 to 1989, his lowest scoring season was like 24 points per game and he was never injured.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 3:14pm #207948
j1232eParticipantwas one of my favorite players in the 80’s. Remeber his movie Amazing Grace. check it out.

llperezNo one else has any? Okay,
which team drafted Scottie Pippen and who did they trade him for on draft night?
who were the first ever draft picks for the Toronto Raptors and Vancouver Grizzlies?
Name the only player to compete in the 3-point contest who was not a member of the nba the year he competed?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 3:48pm #207978
JNixonParticipantI know Damon Stoudamire was the Raptors 1st pick in history, but Idk about Vancouver. And the 3point contest man was Matt Bullard??
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 3:50pm #207980
llpereziggy, you got Stoudemire correct. But I’ll wait to see if more people can guess before I answer the rest.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 3:50pm #207981
MagikKnickParticipantThe Seattle Sonics drafted Pippen..I dont know who he got traded to on draft night, but im just gonna guess Chicago?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 3:51pm #207983
llperezyes, pippen was drafted 5th by Seattle, and they traded him straight up for one player to chicago, who was it?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 4:07pm #207993
llperezPippen was traded for Olden Polynice. Bryant “Big Country” Reeves from Oklahoma State was the first pick by Vancouver. Craig Hodges last played in the NBA during the 1992 season, but was invited back to participate in the ’93 shootout because he was the defending champion.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 4:12pm #207996
JNixonParticipantBig Country, I thought about putting him too. He was a big man, and a big underachiever as well.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 4:15pm #207998
llperezyeah, he had some real talent and led his college team to the final four. But he didn’t work hard enough during the off season plus he went through some injuries. He signed a big 50 million dollar contract before his game went south so he did alright for himself.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 7:33pm #208089
Michael.S.ParticipantWho was the only bigman 7’2 or over to his half a dozen 3’s in a single game?

umm how many players in the history of the NBA have avg.ed 20+ reb’s in a season?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 7:52pm #208104
llperez20 rebounds used to be done quite a bit in the 60’s and early 70’s. Wilt, Russell, Petit to name a few.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 7:54pm #208106
llperezwho was the first player to go straight from highschool to the NBA?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 7:54pm #208107
Michael.S.ParticipantRodman?Nah, i think it was something like 18 not sure
Artis Gilmore?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 7:56pm #208108
llperezRodman never averaged 20. I doubt we will see 20 for a very long time. Back in the day, guys used to grab 40-50 rebounds from time to time.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:01pm #208110
llperezno answer for the highschool question?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:02pm #208111
Michael.S.Participant60+ points in a game?
Iverson, Kobe, T-Mac, Gil, Shaq, D-Robinson, David Thompson, Iceman,Jordan any others?0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:03pm #208112
Michael.S.Participanthmmmm. Was it Moses Malone?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:08pm #208114
llperezclose, it’s Kevin Garnett. Malone went to the NBA and Shawn Kemp went to college for one year after highschool but didn’t play. So KG is the first to go straight to the NBA out of HS.
As for the 60 points, I’m guessing you are missing quite a few. Wilt, Elgin Baylor, Karl Malone to name a few.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:08pm #208115
llperezmeant to say Malone went to the ABA out of highschool.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:11pm #208118
Michael.S.ParticipantWow i didn’t know K.G was the first ! i thought they came straight outta h.s. since the 70’s.
Sleepy Floyd, Jerry West also

0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:16pm #208123
llperezuhmm, are you sure there is only one who got a quad, because I know David Robinson got one but I thought Alvin Robinson got one too?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:18pm #208124
Michael.S.ParticipantI had A- Robinson in mind …………..never knew David got one , 10+ blocks and asts?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:21pm #208130

0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:33pm #208149
llperezDamon Stoudemire attempted 24 threes in a game
9-73 by the Philadelphia 76ers is the worst record
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:34pm #208151
Michael.S.ParticipantJesus . How many did he hit?
that record is horrid
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/30/2009 - 8:38pm #208158
llperezdon’t know how many he hit, but the record for makes is 12, so he didn’t even hit half. Either way, dude was launching them.

kidcanandaParticipantit was 21 attempts but he only made 5
