Considering leaving Michigan for NBA draft?

He’s good, really good, but would be making a huge huge HUGE mistake entering the draft.

Unless he’s ready to be a journeyman(D League, various overseas leagues) he’d better go back for at least another 2 years.

Anybody else think he’s making a really big mistake?

I agree, he would be making a huge mistake. He would be doing what another former Michigan player is doing right now, (Darius Morris) sitting at the end of someones bench.

He also takes a lot of bad shots, or at least when they played Ohio in the tourney, he literally chucked up like three straight pull up 3’s

Morris needed another year to better appreciate possessions and cut down on his turnovers, but the size and skill for him was always going to be there. A contending veteran team isn’t going to want a rookie to throw the ball around. Burke was good at Michigan faster than Morris, but he is also really small. That is always going to be the issue with Burke.

And on top of Burke being small(5’11) he isn’t overly quick or explosive, nor can he finish above the rim, as I said he is really good and I do see him in the NBA possibly one day, but as of now, no way.

the problem I see with this is his height; 5’11. Stay a few more years….size does make a big difference.

he’s not explosive vertically but he is quick and does have a first step. his physical abilities remind me of chris paul in college, and his style of play a little as well.

he shoud saty in school one more year and practice more on his handles and finishing thru contact. but if he declares i would take him early 2nd

He is quick but for his height(5’11) he isn’t explosively quick like a Kemba Walker,Ty Lawson,Eric Bledsoe etc guys who are around 5’11 but make up for it with explosive quickness.

Burke doesn’t have that type of quickness, that’s going to be another knock I think as well, he struggled at times to get past B10 guards, what will happen in the NBA, where it only gets harder, alot harder.

He definitely needs to stay at least one more year with Tim Hardaway Jr. And Mitch McGary. That would create a scary team that has final four potential. I see him as a DJ Augustin type player in the NBA in 2 or 3 years.

Why all the negs for ChrisCross?

He takes a lot of bad shots.  When his team is down by a few late in the game, he tries to be the hero too much.  He’ll bring the ball up and just shoot it from 23 feet.  ANd he usually misses.  He needs to stay AT LEAST one more year and gain some discipline, never mind his height.
