The Trade That Never Happened
This trade that never happened changed a lot in the NBA
Back in 2009 the Bobcats agreed in principle to trade Tyson Chandler to the OKC Thunder for Chris Wilcox, Joe Smith and the rights to DeVon Hardin.
The trade however was rescinded due to Tyson's toe. But lets look at the potential OKC team with Chandler as opposed to the one with Perkins.
Starting Line Up
Talk about depth, they have everything shooting, defense(in and out), size, speed, strength, vets and youth. Chandler would have played the same role he played for Dallas but with another defensive guy in Ibaka along with 2 great defensive guards in Westbrook and Sefolosha. Green would have been an ideal match up problem off the bench spelling Green or Ibaka. Cook would have been the Knockdown shooter, Maynor is the best back up PG in the league, Collison and Mohammed add the needed frontline depth and KD is who he is. Now this team is NBA Finals ready and a lot better than now.
Now if this trade happens Dallas is left without Chandler and we possibly see a Thunder/Heat NBA Finals, we also probably dont see the Knicks grabbing Chandler and being stuck in mediocrity this year rather than being an elite contender.
Point is this trade could be the difference between LeBron and Dirk having a ring, the Thunder winning it all and Boston still having their core 5.
Its funny how 1 event could change everything
There won't be any picture of cuban &$#%#&@! with a trophy... and I can't imagine riley in this situation.
....really not the same kind of guy.
You mean Hornets..not Bobcats
thanks for the correction
