Bulls get Ben Gordon back along with his 3 pt shooting and scoring which they need alongside Rose, plus an upgrade at back-up pg. Have a nice offense-defense rotation at the 2 guard with brewer and gordon.

Pistons get rid of Gordon’s contract and get back an experimental young big guy in Asik to play next to Monroe.

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=443ca2e

Clips send Minnesota’s 1st rd pick to philly.

Clips could use Iggy at the 3 for his defense and passing, plus speights as some offense off the bench. Also shed Gomes’ contract

Sixers get a nice 2012 pick, and an expiring in Kaman

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3hma23w

Pacers get 2 guys who can come in and start right away, and help them put points on the board.

Raptors get a young 3 to play on the wing next to Derozan

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=44d69wl

Minnesota will send their 2013 1st rd pick to philly, and philly sends their 2012 and 2013 2nd rd picks to Minnesota

Pacers get 2 young studs in Derrick Williams and Wes Johnson who can both help start a youth movement in Indiana.

Sixers will plug Beasely right into the starting 3 spot, with AR and Pekovic backing up at the 4 and 5 and contributing solid minutes.

Minnesota adds 2 border-line all stars who can make the team relevant again, while keep Love and Rubio. They now have a very solid starting 5 that can probably make the playoffs. They could, probably, use an upgrade at center though.

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3pvka8o

Houston gets a guy for cheap to fill in at the 5 after Yao retires.

Jazz get cap relief, and a couple young guys who have showed promise, and rookie Markeiff Morris.

I wanna hear some of your ideas too

    Trade 1:

Terrible trade for the Pacers.  They were already in the top half of the league in scoring, therefore they’re not interested in putting more points on the board, but rather taking points away from the opposition.

Also, Bargnani and Hibbert is not a good pair to have on the court at the same time.  Too weak defensively, they’d both get eaten alive down low.

    Trade 2:

Too good of a trade for Indy.  Also, if it didn’t happen before the draft, it’s not going to happen now.

The Clips are not giving up the Timberwolves 1st rd pick next year and Kaman for Iggy. Its more than likely going to be a top five pick in a very strong draft, Iggy for Kaman straight up is closer to even than that.

As a Jazz fan we need to be looking at ways to move Big Al and I like the players you have the Jazz getting but I’m not sure Houston would make the trade, 4 for 1, We could use Budingers outside shooting, Flynn would be a good back up point, Morris, who knows right now what he will turn out to be, but if he can play some 3, he would be a good pick up. I’m not sure how Hill would fit in but he is a talent that may be packaged in another trade.  Moving Big Al is something I think the Jazz need to looking into doing but the timing is the big question, it may be better to wait until closer to the trade deadline.

Everybody loves to be a cynic. Everyone looks at trade ideas and pretty much automatically negs. Granted not all of these are great trades but at least they are interesting and fun to look at.

My favorites were the last three. I thought george for bargnani was a pretty cool idea.

Its crazy that the timberwolves could get totally stacked and neither of those other team would be much worse off. pretty good deal for all sides I though. really interesting

I dont really think al jefferson is worth all those guys. maybe if you subtracted marcus morris from the deal and threw in a second rounder.

Those are my thoughts. Enjoyable post. plus 1 for you

This was the trade I really disagreed with. The Bulls could have paid him that kind of money coming of a 20PPG season, they won’t pay it to him now while he is playing like garbage. He is a sixth man in the league, nothing more/nothing less and is making insane money for 3 more years.

These trades make the offseason, and the lockout alot funner, and make everyone want the nba to actually have a season.  After lookign at some of these, alot are interesting.

I wouldn’t see Gordon being welcomed back in Chicago with open arms after bolting for the money, although interesting, they give up on Korver after 1 season.

The Clippers-Sixers deal will never happen, 76ers won’t settle on anything, Chris Kaman is not a Monta Ellis type of player the 76ers are looking for.

The Pacers trade looks pretty cool but it won’t happen until Valanciunas comes over, Then essentially the Raptors would have no center.  I am looking forward to seeing George and Granger on the court together more this season.

The 3 team deal is something that someone would only see in the BA 2K game, trust me, I play it, and it makes the game more interesting anf un.  Which is what this trade is about.

Lastly, Al Jefferson isn’t worth 3 guys who were recently drafted, the Rockets won’t wantto mortgage their future for Al Jefferson, a guy with bad knees.

Fun post, enjoyed looking at the trades.  May hop on the trade machine here soon, and try an help out my Cavs.

So one says it’s terrible for detroit, another says it’s terrible for chicago. Clearly both teams get something good in this deal. Chicago gets the second scorer they need at the 2 spot with gordon. I think his return to chicago would be very much welcomed. You’re right on, esperanza, Gordon is getting crap minutes in detroit, and to show he’s still good, he’s still shooting a little over 40% from beyond the arc is detroit.

Detroit clearly doesn’t use Gordon, so dumping his contract would be something they would definitely welcome. They’re trying to make a youth movement, and have 2 very nice pieces in Brandon Knight and Greg Monroe. Asik could turn out to be a nice player at the 5 for Detroit. I fail to see how this is a bad deal for either team. Detroit wants to dump his contract, and Chicago gets the scoring they need for slop. Arguments without explaining your reasoning are pointless.

Alexcook, I agree with you on the TOR-IND trade, Bargs and Hib would be a soft frontcourt. On the Minny-IND-PHI 3 team deal tho, I meant so send Hansborough back to the Twolves, but if you include too many players in the trade machine it doesn’t work.

The clippers, last year before the trade deadline, offered the Minnesota 1st for Danilo Gallinari, so don’t tell me that pick isn’t going anywhere, because they’ve dangled it before.

Derrick Williams will play PF in the NBA, same position as Kevin Love. I thoroughly believe he was drafted to be used as trade bait for vets. Adding Iggy and Granger to Rubio Love and Milicic would be a nice starting line-up.

Why would the Rockets deal their best veteran player in Martin for a bum in Blatche? Nick Young is nice, but definitely not worth Kevin Martin

how about monta for boozer straight up?

Taj gets his starting spot back and rose gets a sick running mate, easily the most dangerous backcourt in the league.

The warriors make room for curry while also getting a nasty post tandem in lee and boozer.

    Negs?

I like it dude! It helps both gsw and chicago, and probably pushes gsw into the playoffs. It also helps the pistons get some freedom financially and will help make sure monroe and knight get their looks. That said though I think detroit has got to maybe get a future golden state pick
