I know I’m going to take some flak but here we go…

List any fair trades that would bring a guy home as it may be the next trend in the NBA.

The Cavs front office and coaching staff have stated that Wiggins is not available in a deal for Kevin Love, repeatedly. That has not stopped ESPN guys from having "sources saying he is". If he were available (which he isn’t hopefully), then he could be send home.

Valancuinas might be untouchable and if so then take him out the trade. Maybe the Memphis lottery pick could sweeten it to include him.

Cavs: Andrew Wiggins, Tristan Thompson, Anthony Bennett, Dion Waiters and Cavs unpprotected 2015 first rounder.

Raptors: DeMar DeRozan, Terrance Ross, Valancuinas

The Cavs three Canadians go home and three talants come back. Dion Waiters help fill the gap left by DeRozan. Toronto was said to have promised him in the 2012 draft and that’s why he stopped working out. The Canadians could eventually take discounts to stay home also. Masai Ujiri would have a lot of flexibility and Valancuinas may find the max waiting for him as restricted free agent if this years class is any indication.

The Raptors would still make the playoffs but they would take a huge step back. That step back is well worth it and if Wiggins can get you Kevin Love then he can get you Ross and Joe Val. That would make the other part of the deal DeRozan for Tristan, Dion and a 1rst round pick.

Actually a great trade both ways. Don’t know that DeRozan is the type of star LeBron is thinking of, but the two of them would be a hilarious defensive tandem and DD is a proven commodity. Valanciunas has huge upside and is already as good as Varaejo. Wiggins would own Toronto if he went there, as would Bennett. Makes too much sense. Won’t happen though

But I bet the Raptor fans in Toronto would love it and would prefer Wiggins and a 7 seed this year, better than Jo Val, DeRozan and a 3 seed this year. Wiggins would be loved there as Rose, Lebron and Melo were at home.

I wonder why the negs but no comments.

I bet Minny would trade Kevin Love for Jo Val and DeRozan right now.

     Kyrie Irving

    DeMar DeRozan

    Lebron James

    Varejao

    Jonas Valancuinus

That starting five has the potential to be 5 guys with a 18 to 20+ PER on offense and are all above average defenders. Varejao had a 17 PER last year and Jo Val had a 14 PER but his is going to rise also. A starting lineup of five +defenders is a beauty.

If the Raps threw in Amir Johnson then the Cavs are at the very least the second best team in the NBA.

I’d rather keep the guys we have and develop them. I’m sure other teams would do anything to have the young core we have. Andrew Wiggins, Dion Waiters, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Bennett and Tristan Thompson will all develop nicely under LeBron’s tutelage.

im neither a cavs or raptors fan, but if i were to be offered that by Ujiri id say no thanks. i wouldnt even try to negotiate around it unless he wants to scale it down to something like ross for thompson.

i wouldnt cash in my young chips for derozan who had his break out season last year, but couldnt do it untill rudy gay was dealt. that gives signs to me that he wouldnt be as effective if he wasnt the main man. i dont think gay and lowry hogs the ball more than kyrie and lebron. in fact, lebron, demar and kyrie all had usage rates more than gay and lowry.

valanciunas would be a nice center prospect to have, but i wasnt really hoping he would break out last season after they traded bargnani but he kind fell short of those lofty expectations. he did improve though, getting a bit over 2 more points and boards per game. he’s still very young at 22 years old and could develop into one of the top centers of the league in 3 years time. if he’s regarded as the main piece of the deal though, i dont know if id give up wiggins and bennett for him. bennett and waiters for him and ross, sure. but wiggins, bennett, thompson, waiters and a 1st for him, ross and demar, id be giving too much.
