Trade Idea for Chris Paul to LAC that Stern would accept
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=dywev5g + Minnesota pick to Hornets.
Hornets get good young talent, improve cap space, and get a great draft pick.
Houston gets the center they were searching for, if he doesn't work out, he at least creates a lot of cap room for them next offseason to get a different center.
Clippers get Chris Paul to team up with Griffin and Gordon.
lol, that trade isnt even close to the one they already had offered to them. Odom, martin and scola are all much better then anybody they get in this deal
So the hornets get a bunch of role players for CP3?
Umm they get good young players, the #1 asset available in the Minnesota draft pick (Hello that's a top 5 pick in a loaded draft), and salary cap relief. That's exactly what a rebuilding team is looking for. How do you guys not understand that the reason the trade was vetoed is because the hornets would be taking on big contracts of old players that would not want to stay with new orleans nor would they make the Hornets a better team. If you're trading your superstar, you better be getting 3 things in return: good young players, good draft picks, salary cap relief. All 3 of those things are in this deal. If you can't understand that, I don't know what to tell you.
I understand what your saying but I garentee they will want atleast one semi big name player.
I think a trade with Kamen ,Bledsoe and the T-Wolves pick for Paul wouldnt be that bad because they get a center and move Okafor to pf and a pg with potential then if Hornets suck they might have 2 picks in the top 5 like the Cavs did this year in a loaded class
Not a bad deal, NO wont get much better. Creates a logjam at the wing though.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3evwtrn - with Minny pick
This trade sets them up for the future. Can start all 3 of the guys and tank the year, get some draft picks and rebuild next year.
Bledsoe Ariza Aminu Okafor Kaman could surprise some teams.
If I'm the Clippers no way I include Eric Gordon unless it means hold onto the Minny pick cause that could turn into Lamb who "might" become a better pro. You can't teach wingspan.
Good trade for the Rockets and Clippers.
New Orleansn will want more though.
Since the Lakers have pulled out of the talks, it's CLEAR the Clippers are the front runners.
Paul is about to end up on the Clippers to play with Griffin, Gordon and Jordan (who's now a $10 million dollar per season man SMDH).
Clippers get: Paul
Paul - Gordon - Butler - Griffin - Jordan
Williams - Leslie - Gomes - Thompkins - free agent
Hornets get: Kaman, Aminu, Beldsoe, Salmons, and a pick
Bledsoe - Salmons - Aminu - Okafor - Kaman
Jack - White - Pondexter - Landry - Free agent
Kings get: Ariza
Jimmer - Evans - Ariza - Hickson - Cousins
Thorton - Garcia - Honeycutt - Thompson - Whiteside
Bledsoe is now used goods, Kaman has been for years, and the combo of Aminu and The Wolves draft pick is not enough to convince Stern this trade makes sense for NO...
Scarecrow: How is Bledsoe used goods? He is only 21 years old, and just got hurt during the offseason. Players get hurt all the time, doesn't mean they are used goods though.
I can understand Kaman being used goods though, and because of that I seriously think that the only way the Hornets are going to accept a trade with the Clippers is if the Clippers are willing to part with Eric Gordon. The Clippers already said "no" so they are out of the Chris Paul sweepstakes.
And besides I don't Clippers should be dealing Aminu. One of the reasons they signed Butler was to help Aminu develop more of an offensive game; to be able to mold Aminu along the ways of Butler.
Maybe this will work instead. Maybe Mayo will be able to revive his career in LA. The trade would also open the door for Xavier Henry to really blossom, and provide the Grizzlies with a Shane Battier type player in Ariza
