The8thDeadlySinParticipantOkay.. So here is an idea to help 3 teams… Im just going to post the trade idea first, the explain second..
Celtics get:
Chris Paul
Chris KamanClippers get:
Rajon Rondo
Trevor Ariza
J. O’NealHornets get:
Eric Gordon
Al Aminu
N. Krstic
Avery Bradly
T. Thompkins
Celtics 2nd Roundhttp://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine
Why??
IMO, it kind of gives all 3 teams something they are looking for.. Sorta..
Celtics get CP3 to serve their need. Everyone knows why they want him, its no secret. The biggest thing they are worried about is winning now.. I dont think they are very concerned about next year.. Their window is closing and fast. They need to win now and worry about the future later.. They also get Kaman, who can score 15 points a night and grab 8 rebounds… He is another 7 footer to play with Garnett.. He isnt physical or a known defender but he provides offense and size.. 2 things that the Celtics need. After this season, Kaman’s contract is gone along with Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and maybe CP3.. If Paul decides to leave, they can try to trade an aging Pierce for some young talent and draft picks if they wish.. Then, they can plan for the future..
Clippers are looking for a way to prevent Griffin from leaving.. They think getting a marquee PG will go a long way to doing that. Also, winning now can go a long way.. If they cant get Paul, try Paul without a jumper.. Thats Rondo.. Rondo and Griffin could be very very sweet for a long time.. Also, they would be losing Eric Gordon, tough blow, but getting some nice players in return. Trevor Ariza is a great defender and athlete who can also hit an open jumper. J. O’neal is a proven vet that can help the Clippers ease their way into starting Jordan, if they can resign him.. If they cant, he is a nice starter who can get close to 14 and 7.. He has some range on his jumper and could be a nice complement to Griffin. The Clippers would still have Mo Williams to play some SG but other than him and Foye, they would be very thin at the SG spot.. They would have to chase one in the FA market.. Maybe Arron Aflallo or Brandon Roy?? They could use Mo Williams to trade for a legit SG to be a second scorer or to dget a draft pick to snag one.. Mayo would be amazing here..
Hornets would be starting over and showing some nice young pieces for a potiental buyer. They would be getting a guy that looks like a 25 point per game scorer in Gordon and a SF that can do a little bit of everything in Aminu. Bradly was fantastic at Texas and could transition to be a fantastic PG.. Great defender with a nice step. They have some great vets on their team that could warrant some more young pieces and/or picks.. Jarrett Jack is a fantastic backup PG and could be what pushes a team like the Lakers over the edge. Okafor is a double double and a great defender. Every team around needs a center.. If the Mavs cant resgin Chandler, they could come calling for a trade. D. West is probably gone anyway. Carl Landry looks like he could fit in with the Blazers or Knicks and Willie Green has shown that he can score alot in limited minutes.. None of these guys are stars but they are all difference makers.. Someone will want them if the team is clearly dumping contracts..

TRC1991Participanti dont like the trade for the clippers, losing eric gordon would be traumatic, and bledsoe didnt have TOO depressing of a rookie season. i feel like everyone is overlooking both bledsoe and aminu, they were rookies last season! give them some time before you panic and go after replacements.

Mr. JewboyParticipanti agree, bad trade for the clips. they’re also pretty cheap and rondo and ariza have not so small long term contracts

nyk92Participantidk about that being a bad trade for the clippers, could you imagine, blake griffin and rondo running up and down the court in LA?

joecheck88Participantwho scores for LAC other than Blake griffin in that scenario? No, I think LAC should build around Griffin & Gordon. Deandre will work at C. They need an upgrade at the point and they could use a defender and shooter at the 3 like a Battier or Prince except younger than those guys. lol.

WinterSoldierParticipantI think the Clippers would consider trading Gordon for Paul but not for Rondo IMO.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Celtics give up Rondo,JO,Avery Bradley?Nenad Krystic and 2nd round pick for Chris Paul and Chris Kaman…
The Clippers give up Gordon/Aminu/Kaman//Trey Thompkins for Rondo,JO and Ariza
and The Hornets give up CP3 and Ariza for Eric Gordon,Aminu,Thompkins,Bradley and 2nd round pick…Nenad is a scrub…shouldn’t even be mentioned in this other than $$$

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWinner Boston…They’d get CP3 who is arguably the Best Pg in the NBA and Chris Kaman who’s a Top 10 Center when healthy to allow KG to play Pf again…They’d alone be giving up Rondo as all those other guys aren’t big contributors to The Boston Celtics…NENAD???A 2nd Round Pick???Bradley and Oneal???
The Loser is The Clippers…They’d give up a Fringe All Star in Gordon, young Sf in Aminu, Young Pf in Thompkins and a Top 10 Center in Kaman, all to get Rondo and Ariza…JO is a Amnesty cut waiting to happen!!!
The Team who you could say do alright given the sceanario are the Hornets…They get The youth of the Clippers for a guy that will probaly have been gone anyway in year VIA free agency(CP3)…The Hornets would still poised to draft high this with a Roster of
Jack-Gordon-Aminu-Thompkins-Okefor-Benchmob…That’s a Lottery Team if I say so…I’d want more if I were the Clippers, the Celtics own the Clippers pick, they could start by giving that back…
