if the nets get the first pick
Harris and Chris Douglas Roberts for Josh Smith
Then trade Bibby for Murphy (Indiana)
Harris - JJ - Williams - Murphy - Horford
Teague - Crawford - CDR - draft pick - Za Za
Wall - Willams - Free Agent - Smith - Lopez
Dooling - Lee - Pondexter (2nd rounder) - Yi - Solomon Alabi (2nd 1st rounder)
That my friend is a pretty good trade idea. No clue if salaries match up but if they do then I actually like it for all teams except ATL who needs a pick too.
why would indiana trade murphy for bibby
need of a vetran point guard when they draft one
they can have the 2nd 1st round pick and they can draft Lance Stephenson if JJ leaves
Troy Murphy is a solid double-double big man with 3 pt range... Bibby is an aging an quickly declining PG who's minutes dropped to about 25 MPG this past season and frustrated Hawks fans all year.
Makes no sense for the pacers, they don't need Bibby.
I really do see Harris going to Atlanta but you also have to remember that Jeff Teague is an aamzing talent and will probally get a chance to blossom out in the Highlight Factory
Teague is more like a jason terry
Murphy is 30 years old and averaged 14.6 and 10.2 rebounds
Bibby is 31 years old and averaged 9.1 and 4 asissts
Bibby brings this team vocal leadership and can mentor a good young point guard
i like the first part between nj and atl. But the second part between atl and ind does not make sense. Murphy is a solid starter in the final year of his deal. Bibby is an aging pg who should be a back up form here on out and he has 2 seasons left on his deal. Dont see Indiana pulling that trade at all, especially when they are trying to rebuild with young guys.
How about Bibby for Foster
Harris - JJ - Williams - draft pick - Horford
Teague - Crawford - CDR - free agent - Za Za / Foster
After watching the pacers play 40+ games this year, it has amazed me how often earl watson carried the team. He is not going to drop twenty on anyone but he finds a way to score and plays great defense. Even though he belongs on the bench he still played better than tj ford this year.
Harris is going nowhere, he is the best player on the team, anyone who watched the Nets knows that Harris/Lopez are starting to bond a la Nash/Amare.( aboviously not as good, but i see potential). Harris and Wall can play together. That would be a deadly backcourt
