The Trade Block

I thought this might be an interesting topic, as everyone here seems to be completely into brewing up trades for teams and getting rid of players in order to make their teams stronger now or in the future. So, I am going to make a list of all 30 teams and maybe list a couple players I would say are on the chopping block for whatever various reason. Through this list, you can either say what you would maybe try to do with these players or some possibly beneficial trades for these teams. You do not strictly have to use players from this list, and not even close to all of them will be traded, but these are just some guys who I could see looking for different scenarios. Please, ultimately, try to think of trades that are actually logical for both teams. There is usually always a winner and a loser in a deal, but it is usually not as one sided as some of the proposed deals I see on here.

So here is the list:

1. Portland Trail Blazers: Rudy Fernandez

2. Oklahoma City Thunder: Morris Peterson, Jeff Green (at least I would)

3. Utah Jazz: Andrei Kirilenko (possibly), Earl Watson

4. Minnesota Timberwolves: Corey Brewer, Sebastian Telfair

5. Denver Nuggets: Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith

6. San Antonio Spurs: Matt Bonner (Best I could come up with right now)

7. Houston Rockets: Jared Jeffries, Courtney Lee (Definite asset, but does not fill a huge need for them)

8. Dallas Mavericks: Shawn Marion, Alexis Ajinca, Caron Butler

9. Memphis Grizzlies: Zach Randolph (will be very hard to get value, but now becomes the obvious choice), Darrell Arthur

10. New Orleans Hornets: Peja Stojakovic, Willie Green

11. LA Lakers: Sasha Vujacic

12. LA Clippers: Baron Davis, Rasual Butler, Chris Kaman (might be about time he finds a new home)

13. Sacramento Kings: Beno Udrih, Donte Greene

14. Golden State Warriors: Brandan Wright, Vladimir Radmanovic (Though I am sure his value is beyond nothing)

15. Phoenix Suns: Earl Clark (Unless the Steve Nash trade rumors are true, which I do not think they are, I see like 0 trade options for these guys worth any value. Really strange situation with a lot of bad contracts)

16. Philadelphia 76ers: Elton Brand (Might be showing him off to try for an offer), Andres Nocioni, Andre Iguodala (Though for as many rumors as I see about him on this site, I see very few in the actual NBA rumor mill)

17. New York Knicks: Wilson Chandler (The fact that he is playing well might cause them to keep him, but I think they just want to up his trade value)

18. New Jersey Nets: Kris Humphries, Troy Murphy

19. Toronto Raptors: Jose Calderon, Julian Wright

20. Boston Celtics: Von Wafer (Again, best I could come up with, do not think they are going to make any moves)

21. Chicago Bulls: James Johnson, Keith Bogans, Luol Deng

22. Cleveland Cavaliers: Antawn Jamison, Jamario Moon

23. Detroit Pistons: Tayshaun Prince, Richard Hamilton, DaJuan Summers

24. Indiana Pacers: TJ Ford, Brandon Rush, Dahntay Jones

25. Milwaukee Bucks: Michael Redd, Keyon Dooling

26. Miami Heat: Carlos Arroyo (I do not think they make a trade though)

27. Orlando Magic: Marcin Gortat, Brandon Bass, Chris Duhon

28. Washington Wizards: Gilbert Arenas, Yi Jianlian, Al Thornton

29. Charlotte Bobcats: Gerald Henderson, DeSagana Diop (Not a lot to work with)

30. Atlanta Hawks: Josh Smith, Jamal Crawford, Marvin Williams (A lot of speculation on these players)

To recap, these players listed are people I would all expect would be in possible trade talks by their particular teams, or are assets some other teams may think would work better in there system. Many teams I expect will stand pat, but these would be some names that might be in some trades that happen before the deadline. Of course, many of these names will require players not on this list, and also some players not listed may indeed appear. But, from looking at team rosters, I find it very hard to believe that either the Lakers, Spurs, Heat or Celtics make a trade. The Heat do not have the assets (well, they have 3 huge ones, but they are not going to give up on that yet, that would be stupid), and I think the other teams are pretty happy with their rosters right now. It surprising to list the Spurs amongst those other teams, but they seem to be working very well together right now, and as we all know, not long ago their core was winning championships. So, any ideas for some trades? See anybody on the list you hope would fit on your team, or might get a better opportunity on a specific team? I am sure there are a lot of fans as well who want to get rid of particular players, or think a certain player would fit perfectly on their team. This list just was made to highlight people I could see being traded and hopefully people will come up with some fun trade ideas, possibly with seeing some names from the list. Just know that there is rarely such a thing as a one sided deal, which tends to be the majority of fake offers made by some forum posters.

Good List Mikey

Actually the players who I would think a team would either want to dump or trade talent/talent

JR Richardson, Richard Jefferson, Rodney Stuckey, Lou Williams, Terrence Williams, Mike Dunleavy, Eddie Curry, Danilo Gallinari, Anthony Randolph, Mo Williams, Gerald Wallace, OJ Mayo (I believe they'll sign the Bigs and let The highest bidder take the Mayo...)

Lou Williams is a key player off the bench I just can't see him being moved anytime soon.

You got to be sh*tting BRICKS if O.J. Mayo leaves Memphis through a trade!!!!!!
