sacphil_08ParticipantSo I’m assuming that Philly is going to draft Evan turner because they hav the second pick and turner is the second best maybe even first best in the draft. Having said that, iguodala and turner have very similar gestyles in the sense that they both can do a little of everything. Iggy is more athletic but in theory they are the same. Also it seems to me as though the sucres are ready to give up on iguodala, unfairly so, especially if they draft a guy who doesthe same as him. I’m thinking they will trade him. From what I saw iggy makes about 13 mil a year. I’m a kings fan and I wouldn’t be surprised if this scenario played out:
with the 5th pick we draft cousins assuming he’s available and based off of those ahead of us he very well could be.
We trade nocioni and maybe even Kenny Thomas to Philly in exchange for iggy. Giving Philly a shooter to work with and an expiring contract, which financially would work out for both parties
this would leave us (the kings) in the same situation as before such a trade so we’d have enough to sign someone we could pay at most 18 million. We sign boozer for whatever he makes 12 or 13 still leaving us with enough to pay our rookieour lineup then looks like this
udrih
Evans
iguodala
boozer
cousins
I may have miscalculated some things but I think it’s fairly accurate and fairly possibe? What do you think?0 - Posted on: Tue, 05/18/2010 - 8:56pm #317792
fastdanParticipantI Don’t think they would get iggy for so little…and not sure why they would go after boozer when they have landry and thompson.

Charlie SheenParticipantI want the Kings to get Cousins and pair him with Evans thats their big 2
sign Rudy Gay perfect complement to make a big 3
Landry, Thompson,Greene,Casspi and Garcia are all solid role players
That leaves them with a whole at PG while Udrih is good he should be a sub.
At the point they could get-Farmar, Ford, Blake, move Reke back to PG and draft Stephenson or Crawford in the 2nd round if they fallC- Cousins
F- Landry
F- Gay
G- Stephenson
G- Evans
G- Udrih
F- Thompson
F- Casspi
F- Greene
G- GarciaMaybe have an OKC type of effect maybe even better b/c they’d have more depth

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantand some other pieces like JT and Greene…Iggy will net us another good player and 1st round pick…you offered Noci and Kenny Thomas to the Sixers who dumped you with Kenny in the first place…no deal sorry not my fringe all star….you want Iggy trade me Reke and the 5th pick for Iggy and the 2nd pick…

sacphil_08ParticipantThe only reason I said this is because I think Philly is ready to give up on iggy. Alot of times in these types of situations teams let go of players for less than they would normally but for nocioni and Kenny Thomas expiring contract you may not be getting immediate relief but you will have money to work with once the contract of Thomas is up. I would also like to see Rudy gay come as well

sacphil_08ParticipantScarecrow you’re trippin. No one will give you what you’re asking for to get igoudala. He’s not kobe, hell he’s not even better than tyreke. Point is you’re trading for a little cap space. We’d probably even throw in Jason Thompson or Donte green as well. It’s a good thing you aren’t the GM

blink3ebfanParticipantSacphil the sixers would not trade Iggy simply for those two players. Why would they give up a fringe allstar and a 2nd option on a good team for a bad contract and an expiring one? Nocionis contract is awful and they would be strapped to him and brands bad contract. They would need to throw in some young talent to make a trade for iggy possible and not include nocionis contract. Plus I was just looking and Thomas’ contract expired this year not next so he’s a free agent. Sacto has some good young players but they don’t really have the right mix of young players and expiring contracts to get a trade for iggy done.

SpencerIsHawesome2ParticipantWhat is going on here? These trades are all awful.
Sacphil- If we get Iggy and Boozer I will change favorite teams. We are rebuilding and you want to put big money into these 2? Iggy is nothing I don’t want him and Boozer is too old for this team. Would you rather build a championship team or get some clown like iggy and just put us back where we started.
What might happen is Minnesota trades the #4 pick and the #16 pick up to philly for the #2 pick….. Then Minny takes Evan Turner and Philly takes Demarcus Cousins. And the Kings get fucked in the ass by Stern.

kerrstParticipantHonestly this was the worst trade thread I have ever read on this website. Everyone is throwing around these ridiculous trades that will never happen. Iggy and the 2nd for Tyreke and the 5th?????? The Kings would laugh and hang up the phone. Someone else was talkin Iggy for Nocioni and scrap……come on now put in a little thought before posting. The only trade that kind of makes sense is the twolves top 2 picks for the #2 but even that is a little far fetched considering that Jrue Holiday isn’t necessarily the protypical ballhandling PG. The drafting of Turner fits Philly’s needs perfectly. Turner can relieve Holiday of some of the ballhandling duties while also takin over the clutch scoring role from Iggy who has never excelled in that area anyways. Philly’s new coach whoever that will be has to make sure Iggy understands that he doesn’t have to force up bad shots anymore because he has a capable scorer to play with in Turner. And that’s philly’s best move…..keeping the pick and drafting Turner.energy mayence

SpencerIsHawesome2ParticipantThey can get Evan Turner.. Or they can get Demarcus Cousins and James Anderson(or maybe Babbitt, George, etc)
Samuel Dalembert is not the answer at Center for Philly. If they can trade down, get a guy like Anderson while getting their long-term answer at Center I think that is the best move for them. With a backcourt of Holiday-Iggy-Turner all you have to do is clog the lane–Turner does not fit perfectly. None of those guys are gonna shoot. You draft Cousins send Dalmbert to the bench and then draft James Anderson at 16 you get:
Holiday/Williams
Anderson/Iggy/Meeks
Iggy/Kapono
Brand/Young/Speights
Cousins/Dalembert/SpeightsThis team would be solid all-around good defenders, shooters, slashers, etc.
And for Minny it makes sense because Turner is the perfect fit for THEM. Turner will work in a rotation with Brewer, Gomes, and Ellington.
