Trade

Been noticing a lot of trade ideas involving some mix of the Lakers, Dwight Howard, and Andrew Bynum. Well I kind managed to think of a trade so heres my 2 cents.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3jrlcwk

The Lakers get Devin Harris since everyone blasts Derek Fisher for being soft (which he is). They keep Bynum and Gasol and just give themselves depth where they didn't. This also allows a player like Ebanks get more minutes. Their starting line up could be this pre draft Harris-Bryant-Artest-Gasol-Bynum

The Magic get Paul Milsap a very good player. He can score in the post and he even hit some 3's against the Heat earlier in the season (lol) which was a sight to see. Now Dwight has another post player with him, Bass can go to the bench and their team is instantly better depth wise. This does mean that Arenas does become the starter but I think they can live with that since Milsap and D-12 will command so much attention down low. Their starting line up pre draft could look like this Arenas-Reddick?-Hedo-Milsap-Howard

The Jazz lose a starting point gaurd and starting power forward, but they do gain the 6th man of the year who could play SF or PF a former all-star PG in Nelson. Since Lamar can play the 3 that means Favors could start. Their starting line up could look like this pre-draft, Nelson-Miles?-Odom-Favors-Jefferson

Magic

Any move they make has to keep Howard in Florida, and I don't think this makes that happen. Orlando is in a very tough spot with Howard, unless something strange comes out of the CBA talks......like a NFL type of franchise tag.

BKKnicksfan- Maybe, but with

BKKnicksfan- Maybe, but with what you lose in Lamar you gain more depth in the bench, D-fish right now would be a far better player as a back up than a starter and the Lakers may have some hidden gems on their bench. I really like Ebanks to be another Ariza type of player for them.

CuseGuy-Of course it will be hard for Orlando to keep Howard, but I'm just sick of hearing about big name players moving. I would like to see a team be built by a GM and not the player dictating where he wants to go.

Amen on the player movement, but the reality is the max guys make more money than anyone other than the guys writing the checks (owners) so they dictate where they go, not the GM's.

As a Jazz fan I like that

As a Jazz fan I like that trade, I like Odoms game, Nelson for Harris is a wash, Odom for Milsap? I like Odom better but it's close, Paul is tough, hard working and improving, plus he is younger.

i don't see the point for the

i don't see the point for the Jazz, i also think Harris > Nelson and if i'm the Jazz i rather have Milsap over Odom, Milsap is younger, hungrier.

I like Milsap and he is

I like Milsap and he is younger, but I like the skill set Odom has , he is more versatile, he can play the 3 better than Paul, he's longer and he's been there, done , that. He would be a great vet to mentor some of the young players the Jazz have.
