Tracy McGrady

I am curious to see what your thoughts on McGrady are in this hypothetical situation. If his career was not consumed by injury, if he stayed in Orlando and progressed like he should have and reached his full potential. I am also curious to where you see him this year and what type of role he will play on a team.

He would of been way better

He would of been way better if he did not get those injuries though which is why I am asking if he never had injuries and stayed in Orlando what is your opinions on what would have happened. I know how good he was, people said he was better then Kobe at the time before injuries hence my question.

hes the nest point forward

hes the nest point forward the i have seen in my life time. he would have won a few more scoring titles in orlando and possibly an mvp. orlando would have never gotten howard but if they would have the two of them would have one at least 1 championship by now. in juries happen. hes a great ball player but he might not be able to contribute to a contender anymore

Imagine T-Mac and Grant Hill

Imagine T-Mac and Grant Hill WITHOUT injuries. That's a Jordan and Pippen type duo.

he really was great

before all the injuries he was the most athletic player in the league, and add an excellent jump shot, great court vision, awesome ball handling and a perfect body at 6-8 and very long-and you get one heck of a player...potential to be one of the best
dont forget that in all the years at orlando they had grant hill under contract who was supposed to be one of the better players in the league but he got hurt
so..in short he could have had a really good and successful career hadn't he/grant hill/yao ming gotten hurt all the time
but that's all hypothetical and doesnt mean anything

If He And Grant Hill Haddent

If He And Grant Hill Haddent Been Injured He would have probably won 2-3 championships
1-3 MVPS Averaged 35-7-8 In Prime
If He and Yao Haddnt Gotten Injured He Would Probably Have 3-5 Rings
1-3 MVPS
But He Got Injured and Thats That.
He Never got it done. Never Won.
Never Reached His Full Potential.

LOL at averaging 35-7-8 in

LOL at averaging 35-7-8 in his prime. He was a very good player. Kinda like the George Gervin of his generation. But there's no way he would've put up those kind of numbers with a championship team.

Even when he and Yao were healthy I don't think they were better than the Lakers/Spurs/Celtics teams of those years so saying he would've won 3-5 championships is hard to argue.

If Grant Hill was healthy in their Orlando days they might've advanced far in the playoffs but I still don't think they would've beaten the Lakers in the Finals. Frankly the only way they would've won a championship in Orlando is if the Magic managed to sign Tim Duncan as a free agent which was supposedly a possiblity at the time.

If that had been the case; Tim Duncan and a healthy Grant Hill with TMac on the same court then his numbers would've actually decreased. He would've been asked to spread the ball out more and it's unlikely that he would have been averaging more than 25 points per game let alone 35.

I know its hypothetical but

I know its hypothetical but some of the points you guys made are dead on, thats the type of player I think he would have been. It's awful such talented players like Grant Hill, McGrady and Penny's careers were mostly consumed by injury. If non of them had all those injuries I can guarantee all would be Hall of Famers, without a doubt in my mind, they were that good or could have been phenomenal.

T-Mac, G.Hill, and Superman

would have been on the same roster had it not been for Otis Smith listening to T-mac. The magic were comin off of a 19 win season and McGrady had enough and requested a trade. REMEMBER steve francis was supposed to be dwight howard's sidekick until that flamed out.

I'm proud to say

Tracy McGrady was my favorite player. I'm an orlando Magic fan. Before Tracy it was Penny...and we're not even going to discuss what i beleive Penny could've been.

T-Mac had it all! He and Grant could've been Jordan/Pip 2.0...Tracy McGrady un-injured on this day would have 2 championships. He would have an MVP. He would have 3 scoring titles. A finals MVP maybe 2. Sound familiar??? He would have every major stat that KOBE has attained. He and Kobe were synonymous. He was Kobe's "Lebron" before Lebron. I also believe he'd be behind 1 yr in ALL Star appearances. For God sake he made the All Star team this year, but i believe in my heart of hearts David Stern wasn't going to allow him in the game after not playing da first half of the season. he'd have an all star game MVP.

For the Record I think T-mac could've scored 90!

T-MAC

After Jordan retired, T-MAC took over being my favorite player.

He was way ahead of his time. At 21yrsold, I thought he was the best wing player in the league.

Most wing players that can "do it all" have trouble in the postseason, spec the ones who have the gift of being an elite playmaker as well as being an #1 option.

It also doesn't help when your teammates are steady messing up your assists, but you DO need them to win.
