Off topic The Dark Knight Rises

Sorry to post here but , this is a fantastic movie.... One caveat, it makes little sense unless you saw first in the trilogy.

I hadn't seen the news yet. I wish someone could figure out what drives people to do things like that. I mean the random and senseless killing is so awful. Honestly what drives someone to do this to people he doesn't even know and people who never did anything to him....

Hey Guys ....

I've been sooooooooooooo exited to see this movie, my entire family(my wife, 3 daughters, Mom and Brother are all going to watch it in the theatre this weekend....

But after hearing the tragic news that people were hurt/killed during a screaning makes me Sad...

I hope this sick crime doesn't take away from the lives of those victims and the Efforts of The Film Makers...The Innocent Victims only wanted to enjoy a Modern Day Classic in peace, what happened to them is a moral testament that we all need to value life more...

This Film is going to be galvanized by this event, much like Heath Ledger's death...He made us sympathize with the Villain, and we Loved that movie for That, we also Loved The Joker's anarcist movement, maybe in a way this a case of Life immitating Art, or maybe it's the Other Way Around...

The Dark Knights Rises is another amazing Story and a bit of a social commentary...What happens when there is an Elite Class of citizens and The 99 were to Rise Against Them...It's an honorable Act, to Rises Up in the Face of Tyrany and Oppression, and Political and Economical Elitism, It's just that The Revelutionary is a Mad Man named BANE and there stands a Hero in his way, BATMAN...

Who are we the root for, The Billionair "Vigilante" who started his crusade in search of revenge for his Parents murder, or do we root for the 99% to reclaim what the 1% has held on too and abused for so long...It's about a populist uprising IMO...What stops us from completly joining Bane and the 99% is Batman, and the Hope that Justice, Truth and decency can exist in Gotham/USA, and that he being the 1% is willing to fight for them regardless of Class, Color, Ect. Ect....

In My Final Words, Go See This Movie...Go with an open mind and forget for a second this a Movie about Comic book heros fighting Comic book Villains, this is a Moment to hold a great debate as a World of Human beings, where there is a very real, a very possible "1% Vs. 99% War" in The Making, can we stop it?

Well, Somebody better light up the Bat Signal, because we need a Hero....

Its life for real. The wealthy

Have been greedy and crippled us. They have us dying and yet they want more. Eventually sh!t will come to a boiling point. They been training our military to fight against US citizens. They want to keep it this way. We need to do something about it soon. Amazed this movie took this approach and I give props to the writers and director for showing the real. We are turning into a cast system. That's not american. Its bull&$#%#&@!. Takes extremist like Bain unfortunately to let them know they have gone too far and need to rethink their position. They would see the middle class die and slip into poverty just for their own greed. At some point the people have to act or die.

I saw the movie, and once again i was disappointed in these overhyped special effects filled movies..Like Avator and alot of others..Movies with no good storylines, but of alot of digital effects...The storyline should be the main thing....

They are Never going to

They are Never going to change these gun laws becuz the N.R.A sponcers alot of politians campaigns..Florida has a stupid gun law called ''Stand your Ground'' ,it became popular during the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case...And alot of NRA Members sent Zimmerman money to help his defense...Now a Murderer that killed an unarmed kid is free on bail and living high off the money these fools have sent him....They did it becuz they felt if he lost..Their gun rights would be taking away......

An "unarmed kid" who attacked

An "unarmed kid" who attacked him...but anyways

I honestly don't know about the whole "Stand Your Ground" thing and all the gun laws...but I do know that if they do put out a law banning guns or limiting the number of guns you can have, the only people that will obey are the law-abiding citizens. People like James Holmes will always find ways to get whatever they want. He wants guns to break the law, so he would have no problem breaking the law to get what he needs. Banning guns would only make homeowners defenseless

I totally agree. The only

I totally agree. The only people who would get hurt by stronger gun laws are people who purchase them legally. It's very naive to believe that strict gun laws will prevent criminals from obtaining guns because they don't purchase their guns legally. If you know the right people you can get your hands on some serious firepower. You can even buy illegal guns online. One site where you can buy them is called the The Armory. It takes some work to gain access to it but once you do you can buy anything from Glocks, Bushmaster M4A3s (used by NATO), and even explosives like grenades and such. And they ship world-wide. They send you the weapons disassembled in multiple packages and you have to re-assemble them. The true solution to gun violence is stricter punishment for those who commit it.

Lol I've heard things. I got ears. Don't confuse this armory with the one in West Virginia though. The armory I'm talking about takes some work gaining access to. A story was just done about the site too.

Sub Zero how do you know

Sub Zero how do you know exactly who attacked who 1st?

If that bull headed overly aggressive police wanna be had listened to the dispatcher and stayed in his car..We never wouldve heard anything about this......

If im walking home and some stranger ask me what am i doing in this neighborhood..1st of all its none of his business...He should have left it left it up to people that knew how to handle stuff like that....Since this case has became public several other things about Zimmerman's past has come up...Him beating a cop, beating up an ex girlfriend and last week it was revealed that he raped his own cousin..Which he admitted to the other day......So maybe he said something to make Trayvon want to hit his a$$...

I respect your opinion, but I

I respect your opinion, but I really don't like getting into political/societal debates over the internet like this...the thing that makes me sick is that people and especially the media are making this out to be a race crime. Like there aren't white kids getting shot by black kids, black kids getting shot by white kids, and every other race in America shooting or getting shot almost every week...the only reason this got so blown up was because he was wearing a hood and the media assumed he was following him because he was black. In my opinion, they were both wrong: Trayvon shouldn't have beat him half to death and Zimmermann probably shouldn't have followed him in the first place, although he was trying to do the right thing.

I never said anything about

I never said anything about banning guns..

I was saying there should be stricter gun laws, so people that shoot and kill someone wont be back on the street in a few days...I know several people that have shot and killed someone and they're walking around free..And people that get caught selling drugs get a much harsher and longer sentence...

You do have an excellent

You do have an excellent point there. The government is very weak when it comes to punishment for gun related crimes. Like you, I agree the punishment should be much more harsh. When you can get more time for tax evasion than manslaughter, something is wrong. It's all about money.

SPOILER ALERT

SPOILER ALERT

I was VERY disappointed in the movie. Was much worse than the Dark Knight (Joker was phenomenal though). I did like that Batman and the villain actually fought in this one unlike the two other movies, but Bane was pretty weak. Movie had too much dialogue for my liking. Also don't like all the sidekicks Batman has.

And I couldn't even hear a god damn thing they were saying for parts of the movie. I literally didn't understand 70% of the words that came out of Bane's mouth.

I would like to make a few

I would like to make a few points on this topic, as I have many opinions on which. I saw the movie last night at midnight and again this morning at 11. It is a great film, and in all honesty, the best film of the trilogy. I do not understand the arguments saying it is the weakest, I think it has the Dark Knight beat pretty much everywhere except the Dark Knight had a stronger villian (Bane was fine though).

As far as the shootings go...PLEASE people, PLEASE, don't blame this film on the shooting. The man who did this was a psycho acting alone. He had no knowledge what the plot of this movie, he did not claim to be a character from this movie (He called himself 'The Joker' reportedly...but the he had no likenesses of the Joker and the Joker wasn't a part of this film). He was a cowardess killer who just wanted to kill a mass amount of people who were crammed into one closed area, and nothing more. If you are worried about seeing the movie right away because you are paranoid about it, I understand, but don't fault this film for the killer. Sure the nature of the film deals with death, but again, this guy had no knowledge of that, and wasn't claiming to be that. You have the same odds of going to a Wal-Mart or Jewel and having a crazy tragedy like this happen as you do in a movie theater. How many planes have been hijacked and crashed since 9/11? None. There has never been an incident like this in the 110 year history of cimena. Please do not let this hurt the filmmakers and actors who did such a masterful job of putting together one of if not the greatest superhero film of alltime. Support the movie. It is very good and well worth your time.

I loved it. The Dark Knight

I loved it. The Dark Knight was a lot more psychological, a lot more based on plot and more on the human condition rather than fight scenes. This one was a lot more, pardon my choice of words, epic in every sense. Big fight scenes, lots of explosions, huge ending and great twists (have to admit, I saw it coming at the end though. I know too much about Batman lol)

The first fight between Batman and Bane was crazy! I was cringing

Most interesting point to me

At least one poster here thought it anti Wall Street. While all the reviews I have seen feel like I do that the movie showed the 99%ers being manipulated by Bane. I sure viewed it as a dig at the occupy Wall Street thing. Guess a good movie works if pro OWS and anti OWS supporters both feel the movie. Supported their views

I thought it was a much

I thought it was a much better overaal film than Dark knight. Dark Knight will always be remembered for the Joker, and every scene associated with him. This movie had a better, more well thought out story. Great film.

I don't understand people's complaints with it. Im not a batman fanboy by any means, but it was excellent. Many of the issues or "plot holes" people are trying to bring up are so insignificant.

i enjoyed it, but it wasnt on

i enjoyed it, but it wasnt on par with the dark knight which is one of my favorite movies of all time. I thought the whole 5 month terroist takeover of gotham was a little over the top and there was a little too much emphasis on dialouge over action. Also, while we all like happy endings, i thought it would have felt more epic if batman in fact died for gotham. I just never found myself as drawn into this one as i was with the first two batmans which were both phenomanal, maybe my expectaions were a little too high.

Lol yea the whole five month

Lol yea the whole five month thing was a little extreme.

I also thought it was funny that Bruce Wayne was able to recover so fast after Bane broke his back lol.

The movie definitely have some flaws, but overall... I still think it was an A movie. It definitely didn't disappoint. Nolan did a great job with this series.

Is it just me, or was Bane's death really anti-climactic? It's like, boom, and he's dead, just like that. You couldn't even tell if he was dead or not

Lmao yea his death was

Lmao yea his death was definitely weak. It was like the movie hyped him up, but after Batman whooped his ass and the truth about the past was revealed, he was no longer needed lol. Like seriously... He was like very insignificant once the mastermind behind everything was revealed and they just offed him real quick like lol.

But overall... I thought he was a beast though.
