top triple double threats by position
who are the top triple double threats at each position? (all time)
oscar robertson at point
PG Oscar Robertson, Magic, J-Kidd
SG I'm struggling on 2 guards but guessing Jordan, Drexler. Definitely not Ricky Davis anyway!
SF Bird, LeBron, Pippen
PF KG (averaged 6apg a couple of times), Tim Duncan
C Shaq, David Robinson, Wilt.
I'm definitely missing people but here are a few...
Blocks weren't a stat back in the day, but if they were Wilt and Russell probably had a ton of triple doubles and Wilt probably had some quadruple doubles.
cant fat lever, and john havlicek get some love.. From memory they have to be up there.... kidd, magic, big O, and Bird are only ones im positive have more than them..Unsure on wilt / Russell with rules changing..
I think I read somewhere that each of them averaged around 6 bpg, some suggest they averaged closer to 9 bpg. I have no evidence to back myself up, I'm just saying if either are somewhat true then they probably got 10 blocks in a game at least a few times per year.

I know it's not proof, but some people gave their take on it.
wilt and russell would have had tons of triple doubles if blocks had been a stat back then as for by postion id take magig at pg slide the big o over at 2 larry legend at sf timmy at pf and either wilt or russell at c
no doubt, im sure you are 100 % right on the money with that.. IM usually on point with my nba history, but with rule changes / stat changes wilt / russell are a hard one for me to remember.
You have to include Grant Hill on the small forward list, probably even before Pippen. He was like LeBron... A walking triple double.
Put Hakeem Olajuwon up there for the centers.
SG- Michael Jordan
SF- Lebron James
PF- Kevin Garnett
C- Wilt Chamberlain
PG: Oscar Robertson
SG: Michael Jordan
SF: LeBron James
F: Larry Bird - Played both SF and PF
C: Wilt Chamberlain
1st Team -
SG-Michael Ray Richardson
PF: hate to go there but purely statistically it is Antoine Walker
^Well Antione did have two 23, 9 and 5 seasons, and I think he had 15 triple doubles in his career, maybe more.
PG- Big O/Rondo
SG- Jordan/Steph Curry
PF- KG/Blake Griffin
Steph Curry WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFfffff
i think he got one but he might go the rest of his career without one.
PF Josh Smith
And Curry is a 1 anyways but even if he was a 2 would not be up there at all
