Now, as some of you may have seen, I’ve had kinda a rough day today on the forum. So initially my apology post looked like this:

"Seriously, guys, I’m begging you to stop negging me. I totally can’t take it. You’re going to make me cry. Is that what you want?! You monsters! Okay! Okay! I’ll be good. I swear."

But then I thought to myself, "No, Katia, that would be giving in to the mob. You need to stick up for yourself."

So to prove that I’m not afraid of you guys, I’ve created the following list of highly controversial statements. And if you disagree with any of them, feel free to neg me. I don’t even care anymore. (Really quite liberating, actually.) However, on the other hand, if you happen to agree with this list, you are both morally and legally obligated to click "thumbs up!" (seriously, look it up … it’s in the "Terms of Agreement"):

    1) LeBron James is the best player in the NBA.

    2) Anthony Davis is a potential superstar but not very good-looking.

    3) Kevin Garnett is past his prime.

    4) Billy King is really not a very good GM.

    5) Frank Kaminsky was not the best athlete in the 2015 draft.

    6) Michael Jordan’s eye for talent is a bit suspect.

    7) Kendrick Perkins? Not very skilled.

    8) JaVale McGee doesn’t always make the smartest decisions.

    9) Neither does James Dolan.

    10) The WNBA is not as popular as the men’s game.

On the bright side, that m0sc0w1te guy seems to have taken a liking to you since you were the only one to understand that "dead" means "retired". Is that any consolation?

Also, for some reason I am intimidated by the sudden rise in the number Russian posters on the site. I don’t know if I’m feeling less special or if I’m feeling left out (not sure what I’m left out of exactly though), but I don’t enjoy it all that much.

I see what you did there, OP.

I like your style. We need some humor on this forum during the dog days of summer until basketball picks up again.

You (tryin’ to figure out if you are a male or female – but it doesn’t matter either way!) , Rip225, and a hand full of others that I haven’t seen during my prime on .net (4 year member??? wow!) are doing a great job with some of the recent topics I’ve seen

Too bad McDunkin/ProudGrandpa aren’t around as much for the Semi-Annual Yearly NBADraft.net Awards. I was almost a lock for the #SpicyCurryAward

What are the nbadraft.net awards? I’ve been here for 4 years as well. But haven’t really noticed those, if they are real. But seriously are they here? Dang though, I didn’t know I was here since I was 10 until just barely…

         Well they are unofficially official.

It can be quite fun actually. They key really is having an OG Poster who has been there through so much and understands the references like "All Glory Hypnotoad", "The Late Night Crew", "The Chicago Bulls Must Rebuild", "the Popcorn stories", etc etc. We recognize the good posters, the new posters, and everything in between with categories and awards that matter as much as what Ja Rule thinks about anything.

Maybe one day we’ll set up an award ceremony for the ages! With new and approved categories like

        • #MostLikelyToBeAGM
        • #HottestInTheForum
        • #MostLikelyToChoicePointsBeforeAir (McDunkin the 9x champ here)
        • #TheThisHashtagIsSoLongEvenMikeyVCouldntFinishWritingItAllOutAward
        • #NBADraftCourageAward – given to the poster not afraid to take stances on here in the face adveristy
        • #TheBruceJennerAward – given to the poster most likely to wear a dress
        • and so much more….

lack my typical wit and/or wisdom, but my break ended, like, 20 minutes ago.

That’s actually a very good point, Bornaskul. Although speaking of which, can’t help but feel this post should have a better +/- differential. (Since, you know, everyone seems to like it so much and all.)

Well then, Anton, you can at least take some solace in the fact that "m0sc0w1te" is NOT really Russian. Trust me, I know. I was planning on dealing with him today, actually, but as I said I’m totally f*cked for time. Anyways, the whole thing will all make sense eventually (well, sorta). I promise.

Not to brag, Trill, but I maintain a pretty popular blog on a very different topic. (Though may require Google Translate for some.) So good news is, assuming we all continue to co-mingle so harmoniously, you guys can get to know me quite a bit better. Bad news is you’ll also see why I chose the name "Bed Head".

Also, I was told "Trill Grandpa" is only pretending to be a senior citizen? Could someone please explain why he does that? I feel like there must be a joke there somewhere, that I’m just not getting. Oh, and there’s no delicate way to address this but … is "Cynthia" not a girl? Because it seems like everyone always acts as if I’m the only one here?

Zach, what could you possibly have spoken knowledgably about as a ten-year-old? The latest adventures of Ed, Edd & Eddy? Did you, like, pretend to be older? BTW, were you as stunned as I was that arambone is the age he is? I swear to God, I was so certain he was going to turn out to be around 12.

Reptilian Monkey, I don’t know if you’re familiar with the genetic deformity known as a "pinhead"? (Though I seriously doubt that’s the official medical term.) Hate to say it, but that’s kinda what AD’s face reminds me of.

Back when I was 10, I loved the NBA more than I loved my parents… Not really but you know what I mean. I’ve just always been an NBA fan since I was like… 8. And when I was 10 I knew a lot about the NBA. I would often watch videos of Michael Jordan and Larry Bird, and would just sit at home and do that all day. It just was so fun to me and I enjoyed it. Haven’t missed a Jazz game in the last 2 years and have only missed a couple in the last 4 years. Just always liked it.

On a side note, I was never a big fan of Ed Edd and Eddy. And yes, I would pretend I was older and I think I had a lot of people fooled back then until a few weeks ago when I told everyone my age. And with arambone, I thought he was probably somewhere in his mid-20’s since I thought I was the youngest one here and I liked thinking that. But he always did have a lot of weird comments that made me wonder. Especially when he called me a stalker… I mean who gets stalked by a 14 year old, (which didn’t happen by the way) and goes to his internet friends to cry about it. Only him… But I was shocked to find out that you’re a girl.

Well… Not to brag BedHead (I can’t wait to hear this story BTW)… but my last Instagram post had 13 likes… so umm #ImKindOfABigDeal ya know?

Just kidding. Although if your blog is work safe, I wanna check it out now while I can!

And LOL @ the grandpa comment. So, when Mr. Stallard (posts articles on here FYI) first came on here.. he would always talk about his grand kids. And it was kind of funny. You’d have a serious topic and he’d be on there saying "I Just love my grandkids". But then it got annoying when you heard it for the 1923rd time ya know. So eventually, he dropped that. Became a good poster. Went to journalism camp. Fell in love. Got heartbroken. Found the forum again. And became a man. All in one summer. Him and some indian guy named Aamir were pretty funny as well.

      (I’m a total zombie.)

The term "superstar" is tossed around far too freely, imo. One season of averaging 24pts 10rebs 2.5blks for a playoff team doesn’t necessarily make you a superstar. It makes you 2006 Elton Brand. Now, obviously, due to age/athleticism, AD is way beyond Brand. But Davis nonetheless should still have to accomplish "superstar things" prior to coronation.

Also, technically speaking, there’s more to being a superstar than just performance on the court. A very knowledgable (about the NBA, anyways) close friend of mine put it this way: AD may end up being the next face of the league, but it will be an ugly face.

BTW, that same guy could really contribute a lot to this forum if he wanted to. Or, on the other hand, he could, I don’t know, waste everyone’s time by posting in an idiotic fake "foreign" voice (which only he finds funny) just to irritate/mortify his girlfriend. You know, like, either way is good.

P.S. That character in your avatar sorta looks like the serial killer who lives in the attic on "Aqua Teen Hunger Force". Pretty sure his name was "Willie Nelson".

Though this time for quite a different reason. As I’m only just now emerging from my NyQuil-induced coma, and the groggier I am, the witchier I often become … so I’m giving you guys the benefit of the doubt that it’s me, and not you. (Because this thread suddenly has such a weird "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?" sorta vibe.) And who the f*ck is negging me so much?! (So not feeling the love …)

Don’t take this the wrong way, Zach, but when you wrote that first paragraph was there, like, a violin playing in the background? In fact, had those sentences been any sappier, I’d start to be suspicious that you were female. And yeah, I was there when you said you were so surprised I was a girl. Then, like, two days later accused me of "bringing it up all the time" to silence criticism. (So at least you were consistent.) For the record, I’ve made (vague) reference to gender a grand total of 7 times in 224 posts. So better bone up on your math skills or you’ll never get into a good school.

You know I didn’t mean it that way, Trill. Not really sure why I added the adjective "popular", actually (though it is). But I brought up the blog to make the point that as we all get to know each other better, we will no longer need to wonder who’s who and what’s what. And there’s no story to the name, I just have weird hair that’s all (or "unnaturally curly" as my best friend calls it). So in my profile photos it’s pretty much the most noticeable thing about me. Still don’t get why he would bring up imaginary grandkids in the first place, though. Oh, and if you get a chance, could you answer my second question? Or am I to assume that by your not answering, that was the answer? Whatever. It’s so totally none of my business, anyways.

I’m Russian on account of being born in Saint Petersburg, Anton. I live/work in Manhattan.

I Negged a few of your previous posts but liked this one.

Like they say…I came her to dish out negs and lollipops. (And I’m all outta lollipops)

Don’t take that witch comment to heart either (or the +11) votes it got. Its good to have a diverse range of people in here. Including those medically diagnosed with pinhead disease like me.

Well, I’m in one of the top 5 schools in Utah and a school that is highly recognized throughout the nation as one of the best schools. I get a 4.0 and all that. I also skipped 2 grades so even though I’m 14, I’m heading into 11th grade. I’m thinking that I am probably good to go with my schooling. And also, how did that sound sappy? I was just explaining what I was doing at 10 so that you didn’t think I was just some idiot kid who Ed Edd and Eddy. Seriously? That show is like 20 years old.

Or maybe not. Wait. Hold on. Who else here is a Jazz fan?

Why would that bother me, Rip? I don’t really remember the entire list, but from what I recall it was fairly accurate, actually. You know, sometimes I wonder who exactly you guys are confusing me with? Because I’ve never presented myself as an appealing person. And I’m not interested in being an appealing person. Not to you. Not to anyone.

To offer a rather extreme example, people who know me can attest that I once stopped wearing deodorant to see just how bad my BO could become before a stranger spoke up about it. (The answer being much worse than you might think.)

Besides, you could use the boost. What is your average total point differential on the threads you create? Like, -126?

I didn’t hurt your feelings, did I, Zach? Oh, poor little guy …

I really must apologize. It was unfair of me not to give you a chance to respond sooner by posting so far past your bedtime. But what bugged me so badly (about your reply to my "cooties" comment) was that you completely caught me off guard. The line you latched onto was so subtle 96% of people probably failed to even catch the connection. I couldn’t believe someone was paying such creepily close attention. It was almost as if … you were stalking me or something.

I’m only teasing you. Anyways, all that stuff I said was just payback. No hard feelings, okay? BTW, I thought "Ed, Edd & Eddy" was a really good show, actually. Plus it’s still available On Demand.

There are 8 of us, actually. All female (unless there’s something the French girl hasn’t told me). Overwhelming majority of the posts involve either art, film, literature or music. Plus a ton of references to our psychiatric history (mine mostly), sexual history (everyone else’s but mine) and drug use (primarily the German chick). Very, very little on sports, sadly. However, you will find at least 27 totally unnecessary cheap-shots (by me) directed at my least favorite pro athlete of all-time, Serena Williams.

BTW, I’m planning to preview/review the US Open at the end of next month (which seems like a good place to start, so I’ll post a link at that time). And seriously, I’m telling you right now that my preview/review will be so despicable/morally reprehensible it shall 100% guarantee my burning in Hell for all eternity. But I’m totally cool with that.

Now, until then, back to basketball. As even I’m getting sick of talking about me.

    1) LeBron James is the best player in the NBA.

-Chef Curry may have got MVP but you can not tell me he is more offensively and physically gifted the the King.

    7) Kendrick Perkins? Not very skilled.

    – All he did in OKC was steal Steven Adams minutes (and put up half decent stats) but I am happy now because he is in Cleveland. 🙂

    8) JaVale McGee doesn’t always make the smartest decisions.

    – 100% agree on this, free throw line dunks aren’t smart decisions.

    My Controversial Statement.

Philadelphia averages a local tv audience of 23,000 viewers per game in 14/15. To put that in perspective, this is around 0.4% of actual Philly residents who watch the game local broadcasters..

This is down 25% from the previous year….and if the trend continues at this rate there will be an average TV audience of 9700 by the time Philly completes its "5 year plan"

    My top 10 controversies:

    1. McDunkin is white, but still fly for a white guy.
    2. ProudGrandpa isn’t a grandpa, or even a pa.
    3. Siggy was murdered by Steven A. Smith.
    4. EuropeanBaller used so many resources to promote Greek players that he put their banks in debt.
    5. M-DYMES is too high to post anymore.
    6. butidonthavemoney’s name should be changed to butidonthavetimetopost.
    7. DNYCE was only banned because his negative total count was using 80% of the sites bandwidth.
    8. aamir543 no longer posts due to becoming a monk.
    9. IndianaBasketball will one day surpass McDunkins point total (once thought to be impossible)
    10. Aran_Smith is the greatest scout of all time.

Aamir was a great poster, as was Siggy. Nbanflguy was also good (dunno if he just changed his name and still posts, but I hadn’t seen him around in a while.

You know, if you were Cy Twombly, this post would be, like, your "Fifty Days at Iliam".

The structure of the list itself is really quite clever, actually. Though #1 through "c" are not. Those are stupid and obvious, imo.

No one here will even get #4. (Except for maybe the small handful of actual Russians.)

However, the final five are all pretty good. Not sure why #7 would be controversial, though. Oh, and the last two are f*cking hilarious. Plus just so, so wrong (particularly #10, which almost made me choke on my muffin).

      P.S. I hate you.
