TEXAS also has these 3 nice players....SHAQ....CLYDE DREXLER.....LARRY JOHNSON
CALIFORNIA also has BILL RUSSEL....he's got to make the squad...even if u have to add a 7th player...LOL
With SHAQ...even though he was born in New Jersey...he didn't play any high school basketball there....all his HS ball was played in Texas. If he had just played 1 year of HS ball in New Jersey, then he could be considered for the New Jersey squad.....remember....even if they are born in a certain state, unless they play 1 year of HS ball there, there not eligible for that state.
Michael Jordan
David Thompson
Walt Bellamy
Bob McAdoo
James Worthy
note: I wish like hell I could put Dominique Wilkins, because his family is from NC, he was born in France because his father was in the military, but then they moved back home and his family is from the same area I am from...and lived just 20 min from me. The school I went to was not in the same conference as his school because their school was larger. (Washington Pam-Pack)

Tennessee
PG: Penny Hardaway
SG: Oscar Robertson
SF: JJ Reddick
PF: Shawne Williams
C: Lorenzen Wright
Bench
PG: Louis Williams
SG: Tony Delk
SF: Vincent Askew
PF: Popeye Jones
C: William Bedford
Reserves: Elliott Perry, Larry Finch, Chris Garner, Cedric Henderson, Rodney Carney, Brandan Wright, David Harrison.
Great guards, great back court depth. Some decent small forward role players (Askew and Henderson). One solid NBA center (starter), one lottery pick bust (Bedford), and Popeye Jones is the only real power forward who was a decent NBA player. Shawne Williams is more of a 3. Finch was a great college player and a great scorer but he never played in the NBA.
There are so many players from Illinois they can have to championship calliber teams:
Team #1
Pg- Isaiah Thomas
Sg- Dwayne Wade
Sf- Shawn Marion
Pf- Antoine Walker
C- George Mikan
Team #2
Pg- Derrick Rose
Sg-Michael Finley
Sf- Andre Iguodala
Pf- Juwan Howard
C- Eddy Curry
This is awesome...THANX EVERYONE for participating....its cool to see where everyone is from and then compare the squads that represent their home states....maybe we could get all 50 states up...so far so good though....unfortunetly....I think my team from CONNECTICUT would have gotten destroyed by every team on this list...LOL
Minnesota's team is absolutely terrible. Therefore I'm only naming 3 players to the all state team
Kevin McHale
Joel Pryzbilla
Kris Humphries
This is seriously the best we've got. Maybe someday, Cole Aldrich will be on that list. But damn, the basketball talent is weak here. Lol
Some great teams so far....Of all the states listed so far the strongest "overall" squad IMO is....PENNSYLVANIA
pg TYREKE EVANS
sg KOBE BRYANT
sg/sf RICHARD HAMILTON
pf RASHEED WALLACE
c WILT CHAMBERLIN
and this is KDTHUNDER35 team...he didn't list a 6th man so I will...EARL "the pearl" MONROE

Time to represent our HOME states!!! Looking for your all-time starting 5 from your home state.
RULES:
(1)Player must be originally from your state and played at least 1 year High School ball there. EXAMPLE-Kevin Garnett played his last 3 years of HS ball in Chicago but is from South Carolina originally and played there his freshmen year, thus he would be considered on the South Carolina team. Also, just going to your state to play college ball does NOT count. Player must originally be from your state.
(2)Player must have or currently does play in the NBA.
(3)Build your starting 5 any way you want. There is NO set position. I wanted to have a player from all 5 positions, but in my state I had NO good small forwards or shooting guards and too many centers, so I had to adjust accordingly.
Well here it is. My team is from CONNECTICUT. I'll go on record right now and say it's not very strong...lol...but it's all I had to work with.
