festar35ParticipantDo you see any of the SG in the upcoming draft becoming All-Star level players? Enjoying watching Beal play the position well and hope it get stronger.
There is good potential at the position with:
Gary Harris
Jams Young
Nick Stauskis
Zach LaVine (Think he will be better SG than PG)
TJ Warren (Could potentially play SG)0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/07/2014 - 11:34am #898583
LindseyParticipantI see Andrew Wiggins reaching his NBA potential as a SG and being the best one in this draft/league in about 5 years

ChewyParticipantGary Harris seems to me like he is going to be the Loul Deng of Shooting Guards. He will be a fringe All Star for a few years, and will probably only get in some of those years.
James Young has a great shot and I think being a full time professional will help him with his consistancy. I don’t see him having to great of a rookie year, but once he adjusts to the NBA game he could be close. I think he is more of a future starter rather than a future All Star.
Nick Stauskas looks to be a specialist to me. Yes, his athleticism and handles are better than advertised, but I don’t see him being an All Star.
Zach Lavine has the potential to be a top 5 SG in the league one day. He also has the potential to be an 8-10 min a game role player. He is the biggest wild card for SG in this draft for me.

imAboutDatActionParticipantnah, dont see it.
i mean, they’re some decent guards in this draft, i just dont see all star potential in them.Lavine has the tools to be one but he’s so far behind i cant envision him being one.

King CaluchaParticipantIf Wiggins ends up playing the 2 (which is reasonable… at least 50% of the time), he could be the best in the draft. After him, probably Gary Harris… looks like a low-risk, solid all around player. Young and Lavine may have a higher ceiling but they are also riskier picks.
PS: TJ Warren is a SF.

aramboneParticipantI always think combo players should be ranked at each position, not just one. As such, Marcus Smart and Exum should be ranked as pgs and also ranked as sgs in any conversation about either position.
