Top five floppers in the NBA
Mr. Chicago's post about flopping made me want to create this thread... I can't stand a flopper, so I want to call some of them out:
1. Andereson Verajao
- He's become irrellivant since LeBron left Cleveland, but his flopping will be legendary.
2. Manu Ginobli
- He's a franchise caliber flopper. Superstar. One of the best in NBA history.
3. Luis Scola
- Is there a more terrible flopper? I hate this guy's flopping. Just as skilled flopping as his post moves.
4. Derek Fisher
- He's known for a handfull of things... Championships, big shots, big dome, VP of player's union and... Performing an act of mastery flopping. And the older he gets, the more he flops. A sign to retire old man.
5. Jose Barea
- Omg... I hate this guy's flopping. He draws more flopping layup fouls than anybody else in the league.
6. Andre Nocioni
- Read Verajao. Not even becoming irrellivant can hide you. He can't play, but you know he can flop.
7. Blake Griffin
- He may be the NBA's most exciting player and most pathetic flopper all at the same time. I mean, I HATE this guy's flopping. You didn't really get touched Blake... Why are you on the floor really that mad? He's rising up the list.
Add your own...
I don't know if it's flopping but anytime Dwyane Wade gets touched he completely oversells it. I can't stand it, did it like 5 times against Chicago last week.
More or less agree with Indiana. I just hope basketball never gets as bad as soccer.
I live by Kevin Love's motto: If you flop, I can stomp
Yooo, curious how Blake Griffin can make this list when his legendary flopping teacher CP3 didn't, lol.
Your list is actually perfect, but I'll add CB4.
On Fisher's behalf, for every million flops he's performed, he's actually managed to step in and take several real charges.
The king of the flop though IMO, was Dennis Rodman. That guy truely knew how to sale a flop. The man would literally throw himself backwards into harms way to make a ref buy his flop. Not like these guys today such as Blake G.
LOL at Derek Fisher...
I don't know about Anderson Verejao becoming irrelevant since LeBron left. He's actually pretty good.
I am really glad I'm not the only one who noticed Blake Griffen and D-Wade...neither of them seem to flop in terms of flop/charge, but anytime anybody even breaths on them, they are instantly in agonizing pain. The guy boxed you out, he didnt poke you in the eye...the guy contested a shot, he didnt hip check you.
Griffin has the upside to be a dominant flopper, not quite to the level of Verajao but he has a unique skill set being in Hollywood and he utilizes it.
Barea also has franchise pillar flopping ability-though he is so damn small that sometimes it may be legit
Scola imo goes from a top 10 flopper to top 5 because of his hair. If he had shorter, normal looking hair, he would be in that 8-12 range...not a franchise go to flopper, but a definite Scottie Pippen caliber number 2 option on a championship flopping team.
DWade is no. 1 on my list and Cousins is also worthy of making this list.
C'mon man! No Chris Paul? I think this thread I made will change your mind:
Everytime Bosh gets touched he goes flying to the floor.
what i dont get is how can a player whos in the pressure of a game and intensity
even think about flopping... i would to many things on my mind lol
ron artest's elbow was like 4 inches from his face and he fell backwards...kid can flop
PAUL PIERCE !!!!
Seriously, NBA players cannot flop. To find the real masters, you've got to cross the Atlantic and watch soccer. Hilarious.
I tried to embed it, but it doesn't work, sorry.
Really, Varejao is third in rebounds per game, first in offensive boards per game in the league.
Say anything you want, but that does grant you some relevance
I wonder if any of these guy take acting class to master they're caft
I spell two words wrong in the post and you post that? Come on bro... You know this site doesn't have spell check lol.
no James Harden or Kevin Martin????
Mr. Paul Pierce!!
I cant stand paul pierce if u move ya feet against him he stumbles, trips, yell out like he's been hit by a bus!
The Anderson irrelevant (thanks Tyrober lol) comment just means that he isn't getting as much publicity now as he was back when LeBron was in town.
He's played very well this season though.
DIVAC all time leader in this category....
I would like to see a video from the last couple of years of Anderson "flopping." He has turned himself into a complete player, scoring and rebounding without flopping. Even officials have respected him more the last couple of years. As usual, the viewers pidgin hole certain players and they can never break that mold. I watch almost every single Cavs game, and Andy rarely flops anymore. Get with the times, that list would be right 3 years ago (assuming guys like Blake G were in the league).
