if you look at the pac10

if you look at the pac10 rright next to the big east and compare number for number, i think the pac 10 wins that one.

i would rank it :

1-ACC

2-Pac 10

3-Big east

the last 3 you could put in almost any order.

Is this as they are right

Is this as they are right now, or just over their career?

You think Aaron Brooks and

You think Aaron Brooks and Russell Westbrook are better than Andre Iguodala? Westbrook and Iguodala are like the same level probably, but Brooks isn't better than Iguodala is. I don't see that.

But that's not the point of this post though really.

in that case i dont agree

in that case i dont agree with landry being better then eric gordan or oden over a couple of those players because he hasnt proven alot yet and im guessing we are talkin about when healthy so micheal redd should be higher

well i said it is what im

well i said it is what im predicting for next season. Obviously its very hard to judge oden and redd. Im assuming oden will be healthy for at least 60 games and put up close to a double double. Its not like there are any stars behind him. Redd on the other hand i htink will be very rusty since he has been injured for a few seasons and i expect maybe 10 points or so off the bench. Gordon over landry is certainly valid and could go either way.

and i think its interesting

and i think its interesting you find like 3 small switches you might make and assume that must mean all 120 players must not be in order then.

tyreke played at memphis which is in conference USA which is considered a high mid major. I just went by what is generally considered the power 6 conferences.

Dwyane Wade

I know when he went there Marquette was in conference USA, but if you put the new BIG East teams in the Big East (ie DePaul, Marquette, South Fla, Cincinatti, etc.) I think they would be the best conference. You could add Wade and a few others. Overall this was a pretty cool post way to go llperez

That High School all those guys went to

I know where you are headed ll, and I think the Pac-10 is looking quite good in this format. ACC, SEC and Big East all look good too. But Childress being the 20th best? That is just ridiculous, no one has a 20th guy of that caliber, maybe Dunleavy or Azubuike, but doubtful. I think the ACC has the most depth, and the SEC is super stacked, but the Pac-10 is right there with them. My rankings would be, based on strength top to bottom as far as where they actual players rank amongst their peers in the NBA:

1. ACC
2. SEC
3. Big East
4. Pac-10
5. Big 12
6. SEC

The Big East and Pac-10 are neck and neck, I just think the Big East has a few tougher players and more bigs, so I give it to them. In a few years, the Big East will likely be adding way more, as will the SEC. ACC still will get theirs, and the Pac-10 will have to keep up man! But the Big 10 and Big 12 are going to be dieing to catch-up. The Kansas team the won in 2008 had a lot of players that made the league, but no huge stars really. Than again, neither did Michigan St when they won. Nonetheless, interesting post, well done!

@durhant35, i wouldnt add

@durhant35, i wouldnt add wade or anyone else that played in conference USA ust becasue their scholls went to the big east after they left. That would be like adding andrew bogut and andre miller to the pac 10 in another year once utah joins.

@ohcanada, not sure if you were being serious on saying i should add derrick rose and CDR to the big 12, but if you were, they played for memphis in conference USA not the big 12.

after further studying this list, my final rankings are:

1-acc, 2-pac 10, 3-big east, 4-sec, 5-big 10, 6- big 12

Some put big east over pac 10, but if you go down the list number by number, pac 10 just has a slight edge at most of those spots. Pac 10 and ACC both had a ton of quality players that could have gone on this list. Some of these were pac 10 guys that got cut: channing frye, mike bibby, arron afflalo, nick young, earl watson, jordan farmar, matt barnes, nate robinson, spencer hawes. Big east had some good ones too with ryan gomes, randy foye and hasheem thabeet. The big east has had 6 more shcools then the pac 10 for the last 5 years though.
