9.Ralph Sampson..Might be in the top 5 if injuries hadnt cut his career short..Before Shaq or Garnett came along Sampson might've been the most athletic 7 footer in NBA history..
8.Sidney Moncrief..Some of y'all might've never heard of him..but dude was a 2 time league defensive player of the year..And in 1986 was voted the league's best all around player by a poll of NBA Players over guys like Jordan,Magic,Bird & Olajuwon..
But I wouldn't have McGrady over Iverson or Baron Davis over Deron Williams.
iverson was a pg
mark jackson over baron davis any day
U PUT LEBRON AS THE TOP SMALL FOWARD ! YOU MUST B DELUSIONAL. SMH.
how isnt larry bird the best SF? iverson isnt the 7th best sg besides for the fact that hes a Pg hes prob the best scorer this game has ever seen and u put him behind Tmac?
my top 5 ONLY players i personanly watched since i started following the nba in 1992.
Shaq, Olajuwon, Robinson, Ewing, Howard
Duncan, Malone, Barkley, Garnett, Gasol
Lebron, Hill, Pippen, Melo, Durant
Jordan, Kobe, Iverson, Wade, McGrady
Payton, Kidd, Paul, Nash, Williams
llperez ..u mean u will put hill over pippen or carmelo? i'll put hill in the the same class as bill walton..they're both could've been so much better if they hadn't spent the majority of their careers dealing with injuries ...
im basing my list off of them at their best. Obviously hill's career is less then pippens carrer. But Hill in his prime is slightly better then pippen in his prime in my book.
Penny over Deron Williams? Really? Penny has 36 more assists (read: 36 total. just over three game's worth) than Deron Williams for his ENTIRE CAREER. He's 38. Deron is 26.
I posted this a while ago, seems relevant again. With some edits:
I suppose this would be my top 10 list at every position only including guys I've seen play live. For example Abdul Jabbar seems pretty low on this list but because I didn't start watching until the mid 80s I missed his prime, ditto for Dr J and Moses Malone.

dam.. yeah i forget about kemp, rodman & ''the chief'' robert parish..
i never liked alex english style of play..dude's game was tooooooooo quiet..lol.he'd have like 25 points in the 3rd quarter and nobody knew it unless u saw the boxscore...
i'll take chris mullin or mark aguirre ahead of him..
^25 points in a quarter without anyone knowing? sounds like a guy who quietly goes about his business...i'll take him on my squad any day
i meant by the 3rd quarter..lol
How can Larry Bird be the second best SF you claim you've been watching basketball for how long? Anyone who watched Larry Bird who won Championships and more mvps would know thats alot better than a guy who hasnt won anything!!!
bird's TEAM winning more rings than lebron's TEAM doesn't make him the better player. in that case mchale is better than malone and bakley. in that case russell is the best player ever. bird skills were not better than lebrons.
wow!! if you're going by rings..i guess robert horry is the 2nd best player of alltime he has 7..russell has 11...lmao
Because he had point guard size doesnt mean Iverson was a PG. Iverson was a PG his rookie year and possibly his sophmore year but after that, he played SG for the rest of his career(Eric Snow was the PG for the Sixers.). Speaking of that I would put Iverson in the top 3.
Plus player championships take into account but it shouldnt be by much. Was it LeBron's fault he was surrounded with a group of role players and Kobe was surrounded by Pau Gasol,Andrew Bynum,Ron Artest and Lamar Odom. As a celtics fan, i'll admit when LeBron retires he'll go down as the best SF of all time, and with his videogame team he should at least win a few rings.
Lebron over Larry Bird?
