Top 10 PG's In The League
And that's relevant how? Rondo hasn't won a ring where he was even a Top 3 player on his team, so using the ring as a factor for him is flat-out stupid. He wasn't even good then.
i see your case. best passer and best pg defender. but im having a hard time believing the celtics wouldn't trade him for paul or rose. or vice versa, the clippers and bulls wouldn't give up rose and paul for rondo
i cant see how rondo would make the bulls better, but i can see rose making boston better. same for paul.
rondo is a jumper away from really claiming such title
absolutely i agree the jumper who finish off everbody.
its asanine for me to say this but he really dont need the jumper. Lmao. but foreal he do almost everything else better it dont reall hinder him that much
Rondo's also was the key guy to the Celtics getting back to the ECF this past year.
CP3 was struggling out west with Mike Conley and TP.....or did you forget about that?
Rajon Rondo:
14.5 PPG, 9.2 APG, 6.0 RPG
Chris Paul:
20.5 PPG, 10.1 APG, 5.2 RPG
So STD(SDE) and &$#%#&@!andFurious(FastandFurious) You both LOSE CP3 OWNS RONDO
@SDE, you don't want to see their stats compared, its not even close. CP3 is a statistical monster, and stastically he's one of the best finishers in the leage. CP3 has averaged a PER of 25.4 to Rondo's 17.1. CP3 beats Rondo in every statistical category except FG% but that's because CP3 shoots far more 3's and CP3's true shooting % of 57.3% blows away rondo's 51.3%, especially considering CP3 takes far more shots.
This isn't hate for Rondo, just an argument of relative position. And like Y2G said, if CP3 had that celtics team the past 5 years, we'd have more than one ring from it.
You should also check out the MVP voting for this past year at:http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2012/05/12/who-else-was-voted-mvp-ballot-breakdown-here/
CP3 finished 3rd in voting, Rondo finished 8th.
if you are posting that picture saying he has a ring so he's better, then is mario chalmers better than ty lawson?
Using Rondo's 2008 championship ring against Paul is like using Robert Horry's championship rings against Charles Barkley and Karl Malone. This is a prime example of when you should *NOT* use championship rings in an argument. I mean, both players weren't even the same position. One guy was a role player, the other was the face of the franchise. Rondo wasn't in the same position then as he is now, so it's just silly to use this...

Rondo's a great point guard. People give him credit. He's now considered top five by majority of people. When having a debate about if he's the best in the NBA though, why is it wrong to consider the quality of talent he's played with? Paul's best teammate has been David West. Rondo has had the luxury of playing with three of the greatest players ever at their positions in NBA history. Paul has had to carry the weight of his teams on his back... He's STILL doing that with the Clippers. Only the people who fail for "Lob City" and the LA hype believes he has anymore help than he did in New Orleans.
Chris Paul is far and away the best PG in the league just like Howard is the best C...or is Bynum betr then Howard because he has 2 rings. Rings don't mean as much as people want them too, now if Rondo was the Finals MVP then you'd have an arguement.
And I'm still not sold on Westbrook as a PG I think he'd be much better as a SG in a Wade role, and if you replace Russ wit CP3, Deron, or Rondo then the Thunder might of beat the Heat.
But why has nobody mentioned Brandon Jennings? He's a gunner yes but he's also clutch and has become a very good defender. Right now Id take Jennings over Wall, Lawson, Mike Conley and maybe even. Holiday. Funny people say look who WALL. had to pass too cuz last time I checked Nick Young. n Mcgee both had some big games in the playoffs and Rashard Lewis just signed with the Heat. Ever think Wall just don't kno how to run a team?

He was the best player on the Cavs too.
Sad to the hate for rondo.
