In an interview with Le Progres, Tony Parker confirmed that he is still involved with ASVEL Villeurbanne. The PG of the Spurs strongly criticized the signing of Chace Stanback, a newcomer in Villeurbanne.
"He is null. He is not the player we had thought. We have a genius as scout. I don’t want to criticize Bob Sudre, ma when you watch players, there are more that are better then him. Personally I told him: ‘Who is that guy?’" said Parker who confirmed that Stanback is still in the roster of ASVEL.

Parker and Stanback.  No other reason for Parker to insult the scout and a player like that.

well you have to think of that with something else in mind…

Parker criticized (heavily…) the development of ASVEL (the project, the arena, the academy, the scouting…) for the last 3 years. He’s right in most of his critics. ASVEL has been very disappointed since he arrived (and engaged his name and his money). Parker wants to be successful in this new project and all those failures (the building of a new arena recently) push him to put some pressure on the people who work with and for him.

He has met QSI (owner of the PSG soccer and handball team) which is very intrigued by the possibility of creating a club with multiple sport teams (as Barcelona). Basketball could be the next sport QSI decides to invest in and Parker would be very interested to be part of a more serious and effective project.
