Time to panic?

Laker fans always say it's not time to panic when they lose a couple of games or lose game 1.. but now they are down 0-2 to a legit title contender (Never thought I'd say that about the Mavs) and they are on the road the next two games.

Is it time to panic is L.A.?

no because 4 percent of the series have been won

after being 0-2. knowing kobes will power if anything hes going to get pissed off at his teammates and challenge them and who knows maybe in the next game he will go off for a 100.

no its not maybe were both wrong

1. 1969 Boston Celtics - came back to defeat Lakers in 7 games in NBA finals; Bill Russell's last yer

2. 1977 Portland Trailblazers - won 4 straight versus Sixers in 77 Finals after dropping first 2 in Philly (I'm old enough to have memories of that)

3. Houston : 1994 West semifinals versus Phoenix, they actually lost first 2 games at home, but rallied to win in 7)

4. Houston : 1995 West semifinals versus Phoenix (again!) and this time, Houston was actually trailing 3-1 and won 7th game on the ROAD at Phoenix

(Houston won the title both years)

5. 1993 Chicago Bulls (East Finals) - beat Knicks 4 straight after losing 1st two in Madison Square Garden, 2nd game featured Stark's great dunk in last minute

6. Dallas (1st round versus Rockets, 2004 or 2005): Dallas lost first 2 games at home but T-Mac and Yao Ming choked.

'07 Cavaliers (ECF vs. Detroit)
'07 Jazz (WC 1st vs. Houston)
'06 Heat (NBA Finals vs. Dallas)
'04 Lakers (WC SF vs. San Antonio

Mannnn as bad as I wanna say

Mannnn as bad as I wanna say it's time to panic...I can't Dallas just have to prove they are foreal this time they always choke, they always start a season off killing then get their ass handed to them in the playoffs, and now they are up 2-0, but I just think back to when they had the heat down in the Finals and blew it, Dallas has to prove that they are foreal this time.

If the ref is Joey Crawford in game 3....

If this was another opponent I would panic but this is the Mavs were talking about.

@silenciizgolden

Responding to the list not all of the cases listed were on the same situation as the lakers

#1. The Celtics lost the first 2 games away from home, a whole different scenario (is not the same starting 0-2 heading home)

#2. Same situation an #1

#3. Yes

#4. Yes Houston started 0-2 at home

#5 Same situation as #1 and #2

#6 YES

The other 4 listed were the same situation as number one. So you actually just found three series with the same situation as the current lakers, just saying. Apreciate ur research though.

Just for whoever marked me

Just for whoever marked me negative....So you don't remember that time Dallas got put out by Golden State???? LOL get real Dallas is known for choking...

2006-2007 67-15 first in the western conference...Playoffs come lose 4-2 to EIGHT seed Golden State

2007-08 51-31 Lost first round to N.O 4-1

2009-10 55-27 First in southwest division.....Playoffs lose first round to San Antonio 4-2

Then like I stated the finals they lost to Miami when they had them on the ropes Dallas chokes

There is still a good chance

There is still a good chance they can come back and win it..

But this year's team doesnt play with the same sence of urgency that the past 2 Championship teams had..They seem to laid back and when they get leads they cant maintain it..And they dont have consistent outside shooting, plus Derrick Fisher hasnt turned it on in this year's playoffs and he's looking very old...

Kobe is looking older than

Kobe is looking older than I've ever seen him, and Lakers simply have no answer for Barea, who has been the difference maker for the Mavs in the playoffs (never thought I'd say that). I don't think I'd give them a good chance of coming back and winning it, though they'll probably steal one of the next two on the road and win their next home game. I don't see them winning a game 6 and 7 if they make it that far.

Also, Steve Kerr pointed out

Also, Steve Kerr pointed out during the game Odom kept looking over at someone in the crowd saying "we got this", which might seem like a positive, except they didn't back it up, and that sort of overconfidence can be deadly in the playoffs.

Does anyone else think that if Lakers lose the Heat win the championship?

Dallas won't choke, they

Dallas won't choke, they didn't have Jason Kidd in 2006.

Also Dallas wasn't playing like this in 2006 or 2007.

The Lakers outside of Kobe and Bynum played a poor game.

Let's not underestimate the

Let's not underestimate the great defensive work by both Chandler and Haywood this post-season; that's a very solid C rotation right there.

The Lakers look old, even if

The Lakers look old, even if they do somehow comback(I don't think they will) I don't see them winning the championship this year. Kobe is not the same player he was 2 or 3 years ago, Gasol hasn't been playing great in the playoffs, and Fisher sucks.

They need to get a young pg this offseason if they want to compete for more championships while Kobe is still playing.

Yep, I'd like to see them

Yep, I'd like to see them take a chance on Josh Selby; they might be able to make some sort of deal to acquire him, and he has a lot of upside for a second-round pick.

Mavs in 6, and out of anger, Kobe practices for the next 3 months, takes steroids, and cheats on drugs tests, and goes for35 and 10 next year, wins the championship, and retires.

Phil Jackson has to take some

Phil Jackson has to take some of the blame too he always gets praise when they win.

He hurt them in the end of Game 1 by putting Gasol on Dirk and now he's playing Blake 20 mins a game with zero production. The guy can't hit a shot and has no confidence. Kobe needs to play more minutes what good is resting him now when the games count. He should've been given rest in the regular season, he needs to be on the court 40 mins a night for them to have a chance. Fisher is old pushing 37, he did well in Game 1 and overall in the series has 11 asts and 1 turnover.

GM for the Lakers should've resigned Jordan Farmar at least he can score and is a legit backup PG.

Outside of Brown and Odom the bench is really weak, Barnes hasn't done much at all.

Gasol isn't the top PF in the league anymore no way he's better than Zebo or Dirk.

14 pts, 8 rebs and 43% shooting in the playoffs won't get it done.

Artest has been awful in this series the cheap shot on Barrea was just stupid, glad to see the league suspended that clown.

Yes the laker fans should

Yes the laker fans should panic. The dallas D is playing so good right now from J Kidd to T Chandler they are making the lakers and kobe shoot jumpshots and they are not hitting them. Also u think about it this way there is going to be so much energy in Dallas when they play game 3 I dont think they have a chance to win that game they will be down 0-3 and no team has ever come back from that. Its the beginning of the end and i am loving it.
