SantaTheClauseParticipantThe Wolves are definately going to trade 1 if not both of their second rounders, and are really trying to move back into the 1st round probably picks 15-25ish. What are some possible trade ideas that could allow them to do this? Being a Minnesotan and huge wolves fan I think most of us assume we want to move back into the mid 1st to select Tyus Jones who would be a awesome back up point guard for us.
Possibilities?
Boston Celtic Receive: Anthony Bennett, 2015 pick #31, 2015 pick #35, Maybe some trade exception $ too.
Minnesota Receives: 2015 pick #16, Jonas Jerebko
Dallas Receives: Nikola Pekovic, pick #35 via Minnesota
Miami Recieves: Kevin Martin, 2016 2nd rnd via Miami, 2015 pick #31 Min, 2015 pick # 52 via Dallas
Minnesota Receives: 2015 Pick #10 via Miami, Josh McRoberts, pick #40 2015 via Miami
Just a few ideas

ZouldiersParticipantI don’t like the trade for Kevin Martin. There’s no way we’re trading out of the lottery for him though. If that’s the case, I would rather draft Booker and keep McRoberts than lose them for Martin. Plus, Pat may not even sign those 2nd round picks so yeah. For the first trade though, the C’s already have too many picks and they are already set at PF so I don’t see them making this trade also. I’ll commend you for your attempt but I just don’t see these teams making these trades. Btw, I won’t use the 10th pick on Jones though.

SantaTheClauseParticipantJust tossed them together wanted to see if anyone else could chip in or come up with better ones! Anyone see a waty we obtain another top 10 pick as I’m seeing rumors we want to add Mudiay somehow?

goddagParticipantgetting a top 10 pick without giving up one of their young players. And even with that, you’re not going to get Mudiay unless you have a top 5 pick at best.
Everyone keeps saying MN is going to get back into the first round to take Tyus, because he’s from MN. But there are better guards than him that I would take. Jerian Grant, and Terry Rozier, I would rank ahead of Tyus. Jerian is a little taller at 6′ 4″ and Rozier I think is quicker and a better defender.
But I could see them trading Budinger and the 31 pick to get back into the draft.
The playoffs proved LA Clippers need depth on their bench.0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/15/2015 - 7:22am #989686

Bed HeadParticipantI’m going to try to help you out a little here, by placing your ideas in some context (in terms of sheer stupidity).
A member of this very forum claims Pekovic is "worth way more" than the Knicks’ 4th overall pick. I swear to God. He actually thinks that. (Yet he refused to even try out for the Special Olympics, as I suggested.)
Now, I’m not going to say who (because that would be witchy). But his initials are EB. Also, the first word in his username refers to a geographical region. And the second involves a popular sport.

Memphis MadnessParticipantGrizz should trade the 25th pick for 31 and 35. You guys can get Tyus Jones if he is there. I think you guys should draft Okafor so getting Tyus Jones would be nice, too. Good combo.
At 31 and 35 I would go with Andrew Harrison or another bigger point guard (I think Nick Calathes leaves) and then Dakari Johnson at 35 to be our backup center. Kosta Koufos might want too much money, and I think he wants more minutes.
At 25, I am not really sold on anybody. I would rather pick up two guys a little later in the draft.
I think you guys should keep the two early 2nd round picks. Lots of talent there, and I don’t see a ton of value just being able to pick one guy in the late first round, as opposed to picking up two guys a bit later on.

Bed HeadParticipantI was, like, just trying to be nice. (No wonder you’re so popular.)
Whatever!
Anyways, WoJo of Yahoo/FOX Sports 1 just reported the Nuggets have hired Michael Malone.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI don’t think i gave you a thumbs down. I nearly always give thumbs up. If I don’t like the post, i will just say so… usually, I just post what I want…
If the T Wolves wanted to move into the 10-15 range then that would be worth it. Otherwise I would rather have the two 2nd rounders (31 and 35) instead of a late 1st rounder…
even the 25th pick where the Grizzlies are doesn’t excite me much. I would rather get two guys in the earlier part of the 2nd round.

Bed HeadParticipantPerhaps it was an accident?
At any rate, it doesn’t matter. I’ve discovered that, curiously enough, while I don’t like being negged, I do quite enjoy complaining about it.
Anyways, sorry for snapping at you. I’ve had a terribly ghastly day.

Mad MaxParticipantJust to be that guy, Jerbko is an unrestricted FA so you’re trade doesn’t work, so don’t bother.

Mr. 19134ParticipantIf I was Minny I would just reunite Kentucky by drafting Towns 1, Dakari 31, Harrison (Either one) 35.

lucasjohn40I think a better trade would be:
Timberwolves: Andrew Bogut, Harrison Barnes, pick 18
Warriors: Nikola Pekovic, Brandon Bass pick 31 and 36
Kings: Marcus Smart, Ricky Rubio, pick 30
Celtics: DeMarcus Cousins, Nick Stauskas
But the odds of this trade being attempted are slim but:
Cousins seems to want to go to the celtics
Barnes seems that if the Warriors don’t have the cap he is going to Minnesota… HOPEFULLY
