Timberwolves Busy Offseason
I've loved almost all the moves they have made this summer. If they manage to nab back Anthony Randolph and/or other frontcourt depth they'll have put themselves in a very good place going forward. I definitely think the moves have made them stronger, Budinger can produce right away, Cunningham is a great role player defensive/depth man, Beasley is out of the picture giving Williams more opportunities right away (and in the game yesterday he looked very poised/explosive), and not to mention Brandon Roy (who if he can play 20 effective minutes a night without breaking is a steal)... Meanwhile they have managed to ditch Darko (who had the worst contract on the team and didn't produce at all), Ellington (who was a very one dimensional shooter) and Webster (who outside of the bulging disks in his back, wasn't a cerebral player or a guy who gave consistent production)... I don't think they will make any big splashing moves to finish off the offseason, but I expect them to nab 1 more frontcourt player atleast because they need to add some depth up front (Jordan Hill/Anthony Randolph)...
I wish they would move Barea... Behind Rubio and Ridnour I don't see why they need him coming off the bench, not to mention I think Malcolm Lee could be a great glue guy, he's sharp on defense and athletic, and I really like his potential.. If they could move Barea for some frontcourt depth that could be a great move.

So the timberwolves haven't made any extremely splashy moves this summer but man have they been busy overall, the roster has been getting a ton of minor tweaks. The wolves have waived Martell Webster and Darko and sent Brad Miller to the Hornets while bringing in Budinger and Brandon Roy. They are also still chasing Batum hard and if that doesn't work out will still probably target another swingman. Finally they have also brought in Alexey Shved and today have a deal in place to flip Wayne Ellington for Dante Cunningham. I personally have liked seeing some aggression from the front office this summer as I believe our team could finally be poised for a little bit of success and this should be the year that we can finally return to the playoffs. So my question for everyone else is what do you think of the moves the Twolves have made this summer. Do these moves make them stronger, do these moves keep Love happy for now, and what other moves do you think they will still contemplate?
