MaejorParticipantKevin Martin now has a fractured wrist. Four starters are now out for the upcoming few games. They have been hit with a ton of injuries to start the year. Who do y’all see the wolves targeting in the upcoming draft? The pick should be pretty high with all the misfortune so far. Would love to see a guy like Okafor go there.

ballislyfe25ParticipantOkafor makes the most sense because he is possibly the best overall prospect. Minnesota has got a pretty good center in Nikola Pekovic but Okafor is too talented to pass up. Fits really well with the rest of the roster, too.

prophetmeirParticipantI would go for Myles , I think with rubio he would flourish in a semi up and down system.

ropeParticipantI think Towns would probably be a good match to the kind of speed and athleticism they will play with. They’ll need they #1 or #2 pick to get him, though. Willy Cauley Stein would be a good consolation a little later in the lottery.

juves4783Participanti agree. someone needs to fill the role of love. not sure if bennett will ever be that guy but towns would be my first choice and okafor second. think towns offers more with his ability to shoot the mid range and is a better rim protector. those skills complement pek nicely.

Reptilian MonkParticipantI like Okafor as a low post presence and post scoring. If they get a lower pick maybe 4-8 I like Stanley Johnson. Wiggins and Johnson could be a deadly perimeter lockdown D for years to come.

BiggysmallsParticipantEven though he can’t shoot, Mudiay would be an option too. The athleticism on the wings with him and Wiggins would be fun and a lot of teams are moving towards the 2 point guard kind of lineups.
I think it would go Okafor-Towns-Mudiay for me. Granted I’ve seen very little of Turner and Johnson and by all accounts those guys are really good too. If the Wolves somehow win some games later in the year and are picking late lottery I’d love a guy like Caris LeVert or one of those Euro specs

theballerwayParticipantseems like the choice for me. A big that can help protect the rim withDieng and also spread the floor for the slashers like Wiggins and Lavine to operate. and attack the rim.
On a side note Muhammad looked good against the Knicks the other night

phila9012ParticipantTowns would easily be their choice, he has range on his jumper and can protect the rim. They could throw rubio, wiggins, towns and dieng ttogether and have a great defensive team while wiggins and towns developed their offensive games, and once both are able to consistantly get 20 ppg they will be a contender. I think if wiggins works hard he can make the kinds of jumps anthony davis has done the past 2 years.

khaled_a_dParticipantBest available player ,I know it is a cliche but I don’t find a reason to think otherwise
By next draft Martin will be 32,Pekovic will be 29 and likely he is 10 years older than any player they are gonna draft
Rubio?I’ve been a huge fan of him since the Olympics in 2008 but let’s be honest with his awful shooting and the fact he will be 25 with 4 years in the league and many more as professional years by the start of next season ,he isn’t a franchise player
Those players aren’t players to alter your draft strategy for,not with a top 5 pick .they are players who help you get some wins and don’t be like 76’s and nice complementary guys after rebuilding or trading assets
The only player they have that they should think about when drafting is Wiggins and he is a wing ,he can switch to SG or SF if needed
so whoever prove the best player in the draft by June they should go after him ,even if he was playing in Rubio position(Mudiay) or Pekovic position(Towns/Okafor/Turner)0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/23/2014 - 2:19am #956843
