THUNDER NEED A BIG MAN

Who are guys they could trade for or daft this year? I was thinking about trading for Troy Murphy because he is getting almost no playing time behind Kris Humphies and Derrick Favors. IDK

I wanted them to get either

I wanted them to get either DeMarcus Cousins or Al Jefferson. I believe they need somewhat of a offensive minded big. How about this deal?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2c86tyd

- The Sixers get two good players in Green and Harden plus a 1st rounder. OKC adds another defensive stalwart in Iguadala and Spieghts as a scoring big.

I honestly think bringing up

I honestly think bringing up Cole Aldrich would be a good move, get the kid some minutes and see how he handles them anyways, he wont be a liability on defense and he could give you some hustle points.

If the Nets fail in trading

If the Nets fail in trading for Mello the Thunder should try and get Lopez it might be a long shot but you never know. They have some young guys they could move Harden, Green and Ibaka maybe 2 of the 3 would get it done in a multi player deal.

They should have kept that

They should have kept that Chandler deal back in the day. Can you imagine Tyson Chandler healthy as he is now with this OKC squad.

Dalembert may be gettable if

Dalembert may be attainable if they give up Maynor and possibly Cook and some cap relief.

This may not be the greatest deal but if give them length and a strong defensive prescent in the middle. I like Ibaka but he is still young and not really that defensive prescence even though he gets blocks.

I don't think that neither

I don't think that neither Jefferson or Murphy would fit well. What they need is a defensive minded center.

Dalembert is not the answer,

Dalembert is not the answer, I'd take Ibaka playing out of position to packaging something for Dalembert.

@ullyatt

Aldrich got called back up awhile ago. He saw minutes against the Bobcats last night... his only stat was 2 fouls in 2 minutes.

Mullens got PT too. He seriously looks and acts like a retarded person trying to play basketball.

Marc Gasol? He won't demand

Marc Gasol? He won't demand shots, he rebounds + defends. And he's still young.

Westbrook / Maynor
Sefolosha / Harden
Durant / Green
Ibaka / Collison
Gasol / Krstic / Aldrich

Super young team. You have two stars in Westbrook and Durant. People are saying to trade Green but why mess up chemistry? He's great off the bench and could be a more consistent Odom type of player for the Thunder. Harden will (hopefully) develop into a player worthy of the #3 pick. This team has too high of expectations for this season. In 2-3 years they will be a force to be reckoned with.

^ and how exactly are they

^ and how exactly are they going to get Gasol? Just cause he fits well with the Thunder doesn't mean he's going there, I highly doubt Memphis doesn't resign Gasol and it looks like they're letting Randolph go. You can't just put say a person is a good fit and have no way of that player getting on that team.

I think they are saying next

I think they are saying next year to sign him. Also if Grizz are scared to lose him for nothing OKC has expirings, young players and draft picks. OKC does not really need any more young players so draft picks can and should be used to get a player that is a great fit. Gasol seems like a good fit for them.

How is Murphy any better than

How is Murphy any better than Jefff Green is right now? When all Murphy does is hang out on the perimeter and shoot threes, The Thunder need a traditional back to basket big man, who can defend the paint and fill a solid role. If you beleive Troy Murphy is the answer to the Thunder big man problems you have a serious problem.

Doesn't Ibaka defend the paint well? I thought he was doing a good job down there

What about

What about DeAndre Jordan or Chris Kaman? They are both serviceable. Also they couldn't keep Tyson Chandler because he failed his physical due to his injury, not because they didn't want him.
