LPelusiParticipantI just dont understand why in a lot of mock drafts there is Glen Robinson III (not a great scoring option) going to OKC with the 21st pick, if their bigest need is a SG who can shoot or a post player? I mean, if James Young is right after at 22nd, why OKC would pass on him? Am I missing something? Not that I dont like GRIII, but I dont think this pick fits for OKC…. unless they are hitting big on free agency for somebody who fills the starting SG role or even trading this pick for a proven veteran like Afflalo.Help on this please.0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/16/2014 - 3:48pm #920428

Chilbert arenasParticipantI agree that James Young should be over GR3, but I still have Young in my lottery. Young does somewhat remind me of Lamb though. Similar body types and not a great shot creator or defender. If they’re looking for a SG who can shoot, and also use his strength in the paint Jordan Adams seems to fit that bill. Overall though OKC is in win now mode and counting on a rookie drafted in the 20s doesn’t seem to be a safe bet.

For_Never_EverParticipantI really don’t care about the Thunder draft. They have enough now and already have plenty of young talent. This team should be the front runner for the title next season with the Heats over the hill roster and Duncan/Manu getting another year older. Next season will be Scott Brooks deciding year either they win it or he is out the job.

r377ParticipantThats true. I bet if Scott Brooks and Coach Popp swapped teams the thunder prob would of been champs this year. They have Lamb as SG and Adams as their young up and comers. I think they might trade it for a vet….

Mr. HookShotParticipantThere we go again –> "Duncan/Manu getting another year older".
Everybody gets a year older, including the younger players like Leonard, Green, and Splitter who will step up even more next year. They even have room to bring in some additional help (around $8 million), which should allow them to get one or two younger pieces.

For_Never_EverParticipantYeah, so you know who they are going to bring in then with that 8 mill ? Your argument would work if those two weren’t at retirement age. I believe Duncan will be 40yrs old and Manu will be 38 yrs old. They have a great team, but without those two bringing a good game I don’t see it happeing. Each year they decline a litte more.

For_Never_EverParticipantAlso it work both ways since the young guys on the other team will get better and older. I was wrong about Manu/Duncan by a year. Still this is the age area where it gets extremely sketchy for them. I’m happy for them to get it done this late within their carreer. However, both of them have admitted father time is coming or has come for them. When you’re at this this age it can get drastic at a momemt.

barbabodomParticipantHow do you guys feel with Kyle Anderson going to OKC? Dunno if he´ll fall this far, but he can be the ballhandler that OKC missed this year
