Through 5 games this season...
Yeah as a center he's shooting well 40% from the field, which is incredibly bad. I like what Kemba Walker has been doing for that team though, he's have a very nice sophomore season and today pulled out a 26 point 6 reb 7 ast 8 stl game.
He's an interesting player, he didn't attempt a single three his first two seasons(although he did play sparringly), averaged 1.3 threes per 36 mins last year, and has had that spike to 8 per 36 mins this year. He has some talent, but he's shooting way to much.
This also seems like a time for rigged stat number 3,501
Tommrow, Dwight Howard and the Lakers will try to move within a half game of Byron Mullens' Bobcats.
Through 5 games this season the Blazers bench has scored a total of 73 points. Three players that have surpassed this coming off the bench (in 6 games): Jamal Crawford (131), Ray Allen (88), Vince Carter (81)..
It's pathetic that BJ (I refuse to call him Byron) has become what he has become. He could've been so much more with his tools, but this what he wanted to be because he didn't like physical play, didn't want to work for his touches and didn't want to learn how to do the little things. Dude thinks he can be a Dirk, but he's more like a poor man's Bargnani.
Plus he never had a post game, not even in highschool. Then with Thad Matta, he came off the bench half his freshman campaign and was never a offensive focal point. He has mentioned in interviews, on a few occassions how coaches don't get him and he "is" a perimeter player. No free throws is terrible but maybe he sees his niche as a Spencer Hawes type of player. Hawes is still improving and looked good the one game I saw him this year but he was dribbling, passing, driving and hustling not just jacking up jumpers.
He always seemed like a guy that didn't get it but he improved greatly last year as a player. This must be getting addressed by Dunlaps staff and if it continues maybe he is just a guy that never will get it.
hes a really athletic guy, he used to put down some serious dunks , not just showing his athletism but also his coordination

BJ Mullens has attempted 34 threes and 0 free throws. Just thought that was worth noting.
