Thoughts on a Cavs/76ers Trade?
Ramon Sessions, Anderson Verajo
Evan Turner, Andres Nocioni, 76ers 1st round pick
76ers will get a C that fits with their team and is young enough to keep playing at a high level for the rest of his contract. They also get a great back up PG that is big enough to play with Williams and Meeks. Loosing a late first round pick doesn't hurt the 76ers because they don't need young players. Also, getting rid of a bad contract is always great. And they clear up time at the 3 for Thad Young.
Cavs get a great scoring threat to go along with Irving and Thompson. He is a superversatil player that could fit well with a young team. Nocioni I just an older player and a buyout player. With their 2 first round picks they could snag Brad Beal, a shooter to go with Turner and Irving, and possibly a Zeller or another big that may fit with Thompson.
Lol, Turner is a 2nd overall pick. No way they give up on him already. Nocioni is coming off the books at the right time to re up some young players. Your kidding right?
Why break up what the Sixers' have going right now? They have the best chemistry in the league and are playing some of the best D in the league. Especially, giving up one of their future building blocks for Sessions and Verajo. And you want them to give up a first too? SMH
I feel like y'all are stuck on the names... But whatever..
Varejao would be a good addition to that Sixers team, however, the sixers should give up Hawes in a trade for a center, or Vucevic. If they don't they'll have 3 serviceable centers and nobody needs that.
Having said that, Evan Turner is showing signs of being the player the sixers thought he was when they drafted him, his trade value is pretty high right now. Why would the sixers give him up for so little?
I dont like the trade but Sixers may want to trade Evan Turner while his stock is high. I am sure that he will not want to continue to be on the bench and also they do not have the money to pay him an amount he wants because they will probably pay him as a bench player when he should get starter player's money.
IGGY not Turner.....what is WRONG with you people?? lol
yeah my sixers are not tradin ET. he has been playing great and looking like the player we wanted. Iggy is only averagin 9 PPg his last 5 games, due to Et, Thad and Lou stepping up. we should trade Iggy for Kaman now becuase are Centers are both injured
I actually like the idea of iggy for kaman, but obv 76ers need to get more back. hornets have some good assets wonder which ones theyll give with it
This is just silly. I wouldn't even do the sixers 1st for Varejao. Besides from the fact that he's not that good, have you seen his contract? I wish I was 6'11'' 260 lol
this is the type of post where you just race to be the 1st person to respond because anything you say against the terrible idea will get you at least 8 points
I'm against trading Iggy or ET at this point. This squad is ballin. Iggy reminded us last night of how great his is all around by caping the night wit a perfect triple double. ET is developing just fine and in time he will get his minutes...in Philly!
Wow... What a post... Just as a reference, I was fairly intoxicated for this one..
