For those of u who dislike Rubio 4 saying that he wouldnt like playin 4 certain teams

his reason 4 not wanting to play for Memphis------- 1.he wants to go to a team that really wants him and gives him a chance to succeed, and he can play and not sit on the bench,he really wants to be wanted and coveted,i don't think thats Memphis 2.Memphis has a bad track record with Euro's and Rubio heard alot of bad stories from Navarro, and Pau 3. he's playing 4 free his first few season cuz of his buyout he has to pay off so whay would he play 4 free under these conditions

and Rubio isn't the only 1 doing this anyways

"What gives Ricky Rubio the right to pick his teams? Everyone else in the draft is just trying to get drafted. Why does he think he can pick and choose who drafts him?"

First of all, the idea that Rubio is the only one doing it is silly. James Harden has only worked out for four teams. Even the Knicks couldn't get him in. Hasheem Thabeet will likely only work out for three. DeMar DeRozan has been really selective, and so has Stephen Curry.

Because he's a top talent.

Because he's a top talent. Plus he's coming from a situation where he already was making money...he can be picky.

i usually dont like to explain my reasons

but here it goes. nobody has really seen rubio play like that except his youtube videos and the olympics.
so of course his agent or his camp, fans are gonna post his good highlights on youtube,. which i wasnt impress. second of all hes not guarding the best guards in the world. hes playing against the sergios, and other hype up int'll players over there. he cant shoot, i'll admit hes a nice passer and all. but wait to he gets to the league, you think hes gonna be able to guard chris paul, deron williams, jameer nelson, devin harris, rondo, b-diddy when hes healthy, billups, parker and the list goes on and on. these players i just listed are either stronger, or faster than him . or are both. plus hes weak. soon as he goes in the lane with dwight, shaq, kg, hes gonna fall and get beat up. everynight someone is gonna make him their target. im tellin you stars, role players and all are gonna test him and push him. you'll see. i would say this he'll be decent at that. but as far as being consider the next pistol pete. while thats just disrespectful.

he's one of the

best defenders in the draft, because of his Iq,quick hands, height, wingspan, and underrated speed.(but all the players u said he cant guard no on else in the league can guard thats why theyre considered stars) he is weak but he's young and still growing, half the players that are coming into the league aren't fully physically developed

1 wish

My only wish is that rubio would work out against other guards in the draft. I mean i know they want 2 keep him a secret and all and keep him from being exposed in bad situations but idk how rubio would hold up against the jeff teagues or flynn or curry. My thing is it will be very disappointing if rubio turns out 2 be not as advertised. but then again he's only 18 yrs old. How good can he be say he gets a jump shot?

I don t really know if he

I don t really know if he will be a bust or a great player in the nba, at least he already played against Jason Kidd, Chris Paul and Deron twice in the olympic games. I don t think the other PG in the draft have ever played against this caliber player.

Brandon Jennings and him are the only 2 PG in the draft who have played against profesional players, and Brandon experience wasn t good at all ( he was cuted by lottomatica before the start of the italian PO).

In my opinion Riky has some weak points to play in the NBA, his jump shot is not good and the most important he is very turnover prone

He s really good at D and he has a great bball IQ.

rubio doesn't play one on

rubio doesn't play one on one, he is a team player who makes his teammates way better, that's what he's been doing all these years as a pro, against men, and every gm and scout could have gotten all the info they needed, and that's why he is projected as high as he is even if didn't workout for anyone against the other top prospects.

he didn't get abused by cp3 or d-will almost a year ago, so why would he be exposed against any ncaa player that's rated worse than he is?, it can't really help him, memphis or okc will get or not get him because of other reasons (westbrook and steve francis for example come to mind)

It's possible

It's possible he didn't get abused by those guys because he had a lot of help from his teammates and/or the defensive scheme. A lot more one-on-one defense in the NBA & there are a lot of guys throughout the league who act like help defense is what causes cancer & they want nothing to do with it.

Not saying that he can't succeed - I like him mostly because of his IQ & intangibles. But the olympics (or euro league play) & the NBA are very different animals, so just because he looked good against NBA talent in the olympics doesn't necessarily mean he'll look good in the actual NBA.

thank you

thank you. listen im not saying rubio wil suck like kwame brown or worser. im just saying he will not live up to all this hype and being the 2nd, 3rd, 4th pick or whenever he gets pick. yall can not sit here and say rubio is better than bj and flynn, i dont care if hes 18 or whatnot. age does not matter . once you step foot in this grown man league. prepare for no more sympathy .

hes Nash - a good jump shot.

hes Nash - a good jump shot. but he plays better defence than Nash, i think hell be behind Jennings, and Flynn, in scoring by a little bit but hell have more assists. Rubio will be about as good as Flynn, and Jennings.

So it was a bad experience

So it was a bad experience for Pau to have the team under his leadership, max money'd out, people traded off for his benefit to continue to build the team around him (i.e. Battier for one), and when he started getting all mopey they took on more obligation with signing his best friend Juan Carlos Navarro who quite frankly was impressive in 1 game out of 82 because he was in essence a super small 2 guard.

You can really flip it on Pau by saying Memphis didn't have a good experience with him. He did nothing in the community (Battier and Mike Miller were active as they could possibly be), He didn't play hard when the going got tough, He didn't have heart for the money he was being paid, and he demanded a trade at a time where they could not gather up enough options to make it more beneficial for both parties. Pau was a cry baby and frankly did nothing but set Memphis back even further than they were before they started trading off pieces for Pau's approval.

Juan Carlos signed a ridiculous deal in Barcelona that there was no way Memphis was going to touch due to his horrid output.

Rick Rubio (whether it is coming from him or his agent) is making a foolish mistake by not letting Memphis court him. He has an opportunity to come here and play with 2 very good scorers (in Mayo and Gay) and a really good friend of his (Marc Gasol) who could make him look very very good in the next 3 years to get him primed for his second contract (where the money is). He will NOT be coming here playing for free, on any buyout situation you get a loan established for the amount and he will be paying back on that loan, pretty much like a school loan for college. If he was more willing to be apart of the Memphis organization they would take him and hand over the reigns and use Conley to get better in other areas on the team in trade scenarios.

It doesn't matter that others are only working out for other teams. The American college kids know even if they don't work out for Team A if that team calls their name on draft day they pretty much have to go to them.

On another note I want to smash Rubio's agent Dan Fegan in the face with a brick
