cheetosjalapeno17ParticipantThibs might be the best available free agent coach out of all the possible available coaches, (though don’t rule out Jeff Hornacek as his contract is up after this season). So where is his next team? Does he go to the Lakers and improve their non existent D? My sleeper pick? Minnesota.

ChewyParticipantgot plenty of offers for head coach as an assistant, but turned them all down. He will wait until a true contender comes calling. Maybe if Towns turns into a generational talent in the next 2 years, Tibs would consider going there. Minny has a bright future but I don’t think they are far along enough to get him. I don’t see any established coach willingly walk into the "end of Kobe era." Maybe after Kobe retires LA could bring in Tibs- Randle, Russel, Clarkson and cap space could be a promissing job opportunity.
My sleeping pick: Skiles wear out his welcome in Orlando in 3 years. All the young guys develop and Tibs takes over a Magic team in their prime.
Super sleeper pick: Cavs fire Blatt and hire Tibs. Owner Gilbert has already shown money isn’t an issue at this point, so he shouldn’t mind paying two coaches at the same time.

oogellsParticipantIf Skiles is going to wear out his welcome, no way in hell the magic go with another hard ass coach.

PulseGlazerParticipantI want him in Philly just to see what happens (I’m aware it isn’t happening).

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI hope he doesn’t take over Minny. He has a tendency to rely too heavily on his starters and not give young guys any burn, both of which would be very detrimental to the youth movement going on in Minny. Not to mention the injury riddled careers his star players have had few years through his torturous minutes allocation.
Minny have a roster with a bunch of young guys who all need to see the court in order to blossom, Shabazz, Lavine, Dieng, Towns, Wiggins, Tyus Jones, Adreian Payne, Bjelica. A coach like Thibs who’ll give 35 minutes to Pekovic and Martin isn’t what they need. Thibs isn’t a guy you want for a young rebuild, you want him for an established team who needs a fire lit under their arse.
My pick is the Clippers if they under perform again and Doc gets the axe.

DrivingDownTheStreetinmy64In Minnesota he has to give the youngsters burn because they r teams best players

he_gets_bucketsParticipantHe will starters burn, but no doubt a bunch of the young guys they’ve got would end up rotting on the bench behind those ahead of them. He would only play one group of young guys heavily then Kevin Martin and Pekovic would eat up the last of the scarce minutes.

Robb_CParticipantI think the perfect situation for Thibodeau would be a situation where Thibs gets to cook with his own groceries, meaning he has influence over FAs and who the team drafts, he like certain guys to fit his system.. Also he needs a very solid offensive minded assistant.. If I was a GM I’d hire Thibs and pair him with a guy like Mike Dantoni..
