Wavy BagelsParticipantWhat sensational defense against Kevin Durant, and that clutch 3-pointer you made. The Spurs take Game 1, but with a valuable lesson learned for the remainder of the series. As Steve Kerr pointed out, the Spurs need to got get adjusted to the pace of this young OKC team, but I think they will eventually get it, but I digress. Thank you Stephen Jackson for the stellar play in crunch time when the team needed it. Go, Spurs, Go.

Wavy BagelsParticipantDon’t get me wrong. Kawhi Leonard did an admirable job defending Durant, but Stephen’s D in the 4th was amazing. I only wish Danny Green made a showing (0-6 fg; 0-5 3pt) in the game, but still a great effort from the Black and Silver.

cabbycabParticipantDon’t forget, Captain Jack gave Dirk nightmares during the playoffs when the W’s knocked off the Mavs in the first round.

torontoraptors10ParticipantThe way the Spurs play is definitely amazing. The first quarter was a bit sloppy but when it really mattered (4th quarter) you know the big boys came to play and showed the Thunder that experience means a lot in the league.
Safe to say, the Spurs are my 2nd favourite team in the NBA besides the Raptors.

mikeyvthedonParticipantIs when they did the Stephen Jackson/Richard Jefferson trade went down. He has never been a beacon of offensive efficiency, but you know whoever he is going up against is more than likely not going to be either. This was a guy who was crucial to the Spurs 2003 championship, great defender, third leading scorer behind Timmy and Tony.
His defense on Dirk Nowitzki was probably even more legendary in 2007 than Udonis Haslem’s in the 2006 Finals. Might not be his complete old self, but he was a great pick-up for San Antonio. Spurs finished 18-3 with him in the rotation, with of course a 9 game play-off win streak. The main players are still of course Timmy, Tony and Manu, who were the major base of the 2005 and 2007 championships.
Still, winning championships relies a lot on getting the most out of contributing role players. S-Jax is a guy who has done this before and I am sure the guys were happy to have him back, not to mention Pop. I have been rolling with Miami and I still am, but I think San Antonio will be a major challenge. Can see Miami beating Oklahoma City a lot more than I see them beating San Antonio. The Spurs have that complete team, with some post scoring to boot.

TRC1991Participantcap’n jack doesn’t get going offensively quite as easy as he used to but i am vastly shocked at how little i used to value his defensive abilities!

SpacegrassParticipantAlways liked Stephen Jackson , good solid all around player and dude is a badass. He brings a bit of toughness that most 6’8 small forwards don’t. Great to see him back where it all started for him.

CameronParticipantI’ve always loved Jax primarily because of his time with Spurs. All of the above is true, and I couldn’t agree more about his performance last night. Thats why I love this Spurs team so much, and Pop’s coaching. Green, Leonard, and now Jax have all had prime-time performances this playoff, perfectly complementing the Big 3. How many other teams have had 3 different role players step-up and play huge? Not to mention, Splitter and Diaw have had some real nice games as well.
Gonna be a great series, I say Spurs in 6.
