       Great moves already! i hope he keeps Josh Smith but he probably wont…I wonder what theyll do with Horford? 

      But i think you may be a bit spoiled as a fan to claim the Hawks as not relevant…try living with the Wizards…

    Thank you Danny Ferry for FINALLY blowing it up. It started back in 2008 when this team took the Celtics to a hard fought 7 game series and people put us on the radar. Atlanta had a young solid core of Johnson/Smith/Horford and many had us on the rise. As years went on, along with numerous second round exits the hype died down as little as it was.

    We also signed Joe Johnson to a contract many scratched their head at. He wasn’t ‘that’ type of player being a superstar but he earned a contract that paid him like one. Not only was Danny Ferry able to completely erase that mistake, but he also got rid of underachieving Marvin Williams, not to mention he did this in the span of an hour. Years and years of idiocy at the front helm nearly erased in an hour.

    I hope for the best for Joe Johnson in Brooklyn playing alongside (probably) Deron Williams and being a legit 2nd option. But my hat truly goes off to Danny Ferry for putting us in prime position to rebuild and to put us in position to be relevant again, thank you.

     Apparently Josh Smith is close to going to Houston too.  He has totally re-tooled this roster for the ability to succeed in the years to come.  Next year might not be great, but the future is going to be good

     Im happy for you guys if thats what you wanted but be prepared for a rough road ahead. Rebuilding isn’t as easy as some people make it out to be. But at least you still have Horford and good centers are hard to come by now adays. I wish you guys good luck, I just hope Ferry knows what hes doing.

    Ferry making some awesome decisions:
    – dumping the garbage contract known as joe johnson

    – dumping the garbage player known as marvin williams

    – adding the expiring contracts of numerous players

    – acquiring a dead-eye shooter in anthony morrow
