Jaymes BrownParticipantThis guy is probably better than Dennis Schroder right now. Just behind Reggie Jackson and Isaiah Thomas as a point guard.
Keep in mind that Reggie didn’t look like much until he had his own team to run, kind of like IT4 just looked like a good back up on the Suns.
Rozier now get Evan Turner’s minutes, so after tonight he’ll instantly be on everybody’s radar. But this kid is good enough to run his own team right now, much like Reggie Jackson and IT4 a couple years ago.
Rozier’s playing hyper-aggressive, and without any hesitation/overthinking. In a high pressure defense and uptempo offensive system like Boston’s, he might be better than IT by the end of the season, if not sooner.
You ready? Or Snoozing?

BleedGreen808ParticipantSince Boston drafted him what’s stuck out the most is his drive to improve. He’s put a ton of work on his shooting, playmaking, and watching film to see where he could improve running the offense.

BleedGreen808ParticipantThrough the first couple of days of training camp Brad Stevens, IT, Bradley, Horford, and Crowder have all raved about his play.

BallerScriptParticipantAs a Celtics fan I was so pissed when they passed on Bobby Portis for Terry Rozier and I am a Cards fan. But by way of the D-League and Summer League I now know why they reached for him.

BleedGreen808ParticipantI wanted Portis as well but Terry has made me a fan through his play in summer league and the d-league. Looking forward to seeing what he can do as the backup point this season.

zcnumerounoParticipantI hate to admit it, but T-Rex isn’t totally wrong here…
I’m also a huge believer in Rozier, and think he has the potential to be a legit starting point in this league.

OhCanada-ParticipantJordan Mickey needs some playing time as well. Mickey compliments Boston front court perfectly but he’s stuck on the pine or dominating the D-League.

Jaymes BrownParticipantMickey has crappy lateral quickness, and a dubious attitude. He’s basically a 6’8 center on his way to China, in my opinion.

Magic JordanParticipantLol…. you were all over Mickey before last season… and now he’s headed to China? He fell out of favor that fast with you?

Jaymes BrownParticipantNow I’m all about the 7 footer at PF. Like Thon Maker and Porzingis.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantAnd your boy Rozier had 12 points on 12 shots in a loss to the 76ers…
He looked decent at best and underwhelming at worst…
He did hit the glass and knock down 2 Three Pointers in the2nd Half, I’d almost compare his development to that of A very Bradley, meaning he has to improve his defense and play making ability

markfitz14ParticipantIt will take a bit to proof himself. But I see a legit starter in him. Then the question will come up- What to do with IT4 pay the man or trade or let walk? I will be watching Roziers progress closely and will make a decison around the all star break depending on how Rozier improves.

JoeWolf1I feel Rozier will be a legit contributor in this league. I think his playing style / lack of positional size may render him a 6th man first ( probably not this year), but he could potentially work his way into a starting role.
I always liked his versatility, and the fact he was such a great rebounder for a guy his size. That translated to the D-league where he was a 19/8/6 player last season. A 6’1” guy with that kind of line is pretty insane, not to mention he averaged 7.3 rebounds per 36 minutes in the NBA (2.8 offensive). He’s definitely got to refine his shot selection, but I think he could be a very good NBA player.

BeastMode716Participantplayed in the 2nd half – same as Jaylen Brown but w/ Brown u can tell he Belongs at this level & will Def start someday. Guys your putting Way too much emphasis on Summer League – which is basically playground ball.
Celtics broadcaster Brian Scalabrini was Very disappointed in Rozier & he said so. And when you consider that Philly’s 1st stringers are Really 3rd stringers (most of them) it looks Really bad.
Did you Seriously compare Rozier to Dennis Schroeder & Reggie Jackson??? Celtics have a Bunch of guys who are mid to late 1st round picks who are just not that good.

Jaymes BrownParticipantShroder was a mid first round pick, Jackson a late first round pick.

CU.LIONSParticipantHold up, wait a minute. Can a player have a "breakout game" in preseason?

Jaymes BrownParticipant14 points last night, but I can’t post the highlights for some reason.
