Can someone explain to me why Terry Rozier is projected to go #14 in the mock on this site? I admit I’ve only seen him play a couple times, but it just doesn’t add up to me. He’s 6-1, 6-2 and is avg 2.2 ast/gm in college. Doesn’t seem like a true pg to me and seems too small to play 2 or really even be a combo guard in the league today. I understand he can fill it up, but to me he seems like a guy who would provide a scoring punch off the bench, but I just don’t know how he would ever start in the NBA.  I don’t know how a team could justify taking him over someone like LeVert who seems to have a true position in the league (sg) and still has better pg skills than Rozier. Like I said though, haven’t seen him play much, but I’m just confused when looking at the numbers. Does he have intagibles that justify his position in the mock on here? Do people on here feel like he’s a top-15 pick type of guy?

Reminds me an awful lot of Marcus Banks who played at UNLV back in the day. Rozier doesn’t have a position and doesn’t really do anything at an exceptional level. Melo Trimble looks like a seriously better prospect.

I do think he’s very, very quick and he’s got excellent handles. I don’t know much beyond that.

someone made a similar post a few weeks ago asking why was he rated a lottery pick? and asking about rozier’s potential as a nba player?

i think he’s a better prospect than marcus banks and will be the better pro….he’s going to have a long solid career..not an all star type player, maybe a 3rd guard, that can fill in as a starter…..

his feel for the game, his iq,competiveness and aggressiveness will allow him to succeed….reminds me of robert pack…both have similar built, height, style of play, explosive athlete, fearless & sometimes reckless players…while pack nor rozier are true point guards, they’re great ball handlers and passers…..pack had a couple of double digit scoring seasons including 1 season where he averaged a career high18 pts a game with denver.

To a certain degree, this reminds of Semaj Christon being projected as a lottery pick early on last year on here. Personally I think Rozier would be best served staying one more season, but if he can get a guarantee to be in the top 20-25, it’s hard to go back.
