Terrance Williams waived by Rockets

sad news... dude has so much potential but has not found the right fit for him.. Maybe he can sign with the Wizards or Cavs, teams that have room on Roster for young talent

The potential isn't that

The potential isn't that great. He is a 2-guard who can't shoot and has had the issues with showing up on time and for practice. He isn't good enough to be an idiot, and he now has two teams who have told him that by shipping him out.

He will find a spot

He will find a spot somewhere. He has enough talent, but needs to mature first.

Lakers?

He does have all kinds of potential. A good all-around player, I'd LOVE to see the Lakers sign him and he can help immediately with ball-handling, passing (guy has a couple of triple doubles), and athleticism. Then shooting wouldn't have to be something he needs to do playing next to Kobe, but in time he'll develope a little perimeter game.

I believe the Wizards would be the best choice, due to the athleticism being gone, from the wing standpoint.

Or maybe

Or maybe the Raptors. I mean, they just traded Barbosa and dumped Anthony Carter. They have an open spot.

is he a headcase ?.... cause

is he a headcase ?.... cause I don't understand why he can't find a spot and show what he can bring....

he should have taken this sg/sf spot in houston but buddinger managed to beat him (whereas he's not exceptional just a solid player).

Cavs

I could def see him stealing a lot of minutes from Omri Casspi. If Washington doesnt pick him up, hopefully he doesnt get by Cleveland

Potential? Yea, he had that

Potential? Yea, he had that when he was drafted, but not now. I watched him a lot when he was with the Nets, never could shoot. There is really nothing much to like about him other then he is a good dunker. I don't understand how people still think T-Will is a good player. I don't think it's a matter of finding the right team either, I don't think he would fit in with any team really.

I had high hopes for him but

I had high hopes for him but with Kevin Martin, Courtney Lee, Chase Budinger and the surprise emergence of Chandler Parsons, we didn't need another swingman. Not sure why we would waive him though, I mean, he has a team-option at the end of the year, might as well keep him til then.

I expected better but he can't play in the L

I was wrong. I did not think he was a superstar monar anyway, but I thought he would be solid. He is not NBA talent from what I am seeing. The college game he showed is not transferring to the L and the J never improved either.

Timberwolves?

No team in the league would be more improved by the addition of Any wing player... I'd say Williams could turn into a better version of Martell Webster..

Williams is m0re 0f a p0int

Williams is m0re 0f a p0int f0rward than anything. He ran that al0t at L0uisville and seems t0 succeed m0re when he has the 0pp0rtunity t0 be ball d0minant. IDK if Minny is a great fit given Rubi0 will be in c0ntr0l 0f the r0ck in the future, but f0r n0w he w0uld be an interesting fit. If things w0rk0ut, then p0tentially he c0uld be a great r0le player and p0ssible starter.

Williams would be great next to Kobe IMO

I hate the Idea of him going The Wizards, that's not what he or the Team needs...He needs a Coach/System and Role Model...Brown is a good defensive coach, The Lakers could use a Slasher and another ball handler and Kobe would either make him or break him as far as Work Ethic is concerned...If you can't get focused and bust your ass while playing for the Lakers then you don't have what it takes to make it in The NBA...

The Lakers, Bulls, Spurs, Thunder and Celtics have enough tough minded Players and Coaches to mold Terrence into a solid Sg/Sf...Teams looking to rebuild should hold off on him until he changes his attitude and sticks with a veteran squad...

The Rockets were deep enough to cut ties with Williams in the Fisher trade, I don't know why they Lakers wouldn't have had him included in the Deal...Maybe they didn't want him at that price tag and hope to get him at a discount...

I think the Wolves should look at Williams if they can get him refocused, A lot of players have had made their way to Minnesota after dissapointing starts to their carrers, altough he's a lot like Wes Johnson in a few ways, I think Terrence can play Sf/Pf ala Shawn Marion in The Wolves system(Which I feel is a Suns/Mavericks hybrid)

being from Louisville, the

being from Louisville, the guy was really good at UofL playing the point forward, he has a lot of athletic ability, and good ball handler and passer, but can't shoot for his life. I think he just tries to hard of offense and forces a lot. He could be a decent bench player, but he needs to be energy defensive guy who can make some plays on offense and dunk on the break, but yea not anytihng special.

Hold on what? Williams could

Hold on what? Williams could be a better version of Webster? Do you realize Martell Webster was drafted 6th out of high school solely because he had unlimited range on his jumper and was being compared to Glen Rice? Terrence Williams came out after his SR year of college and still couldn't shoot....

He's never going to be anything special because he don't work hard enough on his game and if that hasn't changed by now it never will it's time to move on.

He needs to go to a veteran team

Williams could be a strong contributer if he can start acting like a man and stop taking the oportunity to play in the NBA for granted. If he goes to a young team like the wizards he would be another headache for that organization. He needs to got to a team like the Celtics or The spurs that have strong minded coaches and High Character veterans that can teach him the value of hardwork and that talent alone wont keep you around for long.

Terrance Williams and Martell

Terrance Williams and Martell Webster are 2 c0mpletely seperate players fr0m the understanding 0f their skillsets. T-Will is a well r0unded player, capable 0f playing p0int f0rward, but lacks a J. Think a real p00r man's versi0n 0f Iggy with less D.

Martell was a pure sh00ter c0ming 0ut 0f HS. H0pes were his J was NBA ready and his size/age w0uld all0w him time t0 build his 0ther bball skills. He fell victim t0 injury and never really developed his 0verall game. He is still very y0ung s0 maybe there is h0pe, but his J is n0w starting t0 weaken as he has had t0 spend t00 much time rehabing injuries vs. putting up Js in the gym.

Rockets

Rockets had 4 players I thought had potential in Flynn, Williams, Hill, and Thabeet. None of them get playing time, but now they all have new homes. Hopefully they can take advantage of this opporutunity. All were high first rounders so I'm hoping they can live up to their potential. Especially Flynn haha.
