MettaWorldDurant1ParticipantI Think Okc fans have something to look forward to T Ferg has to Be the best wing offensively we’ve drafted since Harden..He’s a little raw now and is gonna have to put in work this summer if he wants to see the court..but he’s was ballin in the latter half of the year vs grown men I think that will help. rookie stATs could look like 11 ppg 1.8 apg 3 rpg to me he translates as an above average starter in the mold of 3 and D with all star potential length and size work in his favor . I think he’ll Ben stuck on the bench at first unless he hits a lot of shots

MettaWorldDurant1ParticipantHad he gone to college out perspective on this kid would be way different this was a steal for any team I said prior to draft Him JUSTIN JACKSON Josh Hart and Dwayne Bacon Were the wings who I knew could last in the NBA Fuergson being most potential and needing the right fit

SubZeroParticipantHe passes the eye test when it comes to shooting, athleticism, and hustle (something I’ve seen many different people say is that he always tries really hard on the court, that’s an underrated aspect and hopefully means he has a good work ethic). I’m waiting to see how he plays in Summer League and against NBA level players before I try to judge him as a player because it’s hard to base off of what he’s played against so far.

jerb2011ParticipantT Ferg worked with KD’s trainer preparing for the draft and, although he was working against trainers, he was working on the things that were stated as his weaknesses. The video are highlights of creating/ISO work, ball handling work, and strength training. It also featured his strengths – shooting and athleticism. It’s something to look forward to.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantKid needs to gain weight and be confident. Big time talent, but he needs to put it all together. In due time

Memphis MadnessParticipantWas probably a good pick by OKC. Could end up being a GREAT pick. Russ needs a better 3 and D guy to help him out…

Andv1 WaitingParticipantAt 21 I can’t complain about the pick as some mocks had the Kid as high as 12-16 range so for us to get him at 21 could be a steal if he puts it together.
If Doug goes to PF(like predicted) off the bench,It then becomes what postion does he play for us: Sf,SG,PG or all of the above…
I could see him being molded to 1 of 3 players: Terrance ross,Shaun livingston(pre injury but with warriors skill set) or a Zac lavine clone but with slightly better defense… But it will depend on what the want him to be: SG -Zac L,PG- Shaun L,SF terrance ross. I chose these players due to height and similar skill set to Terrance..
I hope he can do something for us as we don’t really have the cap to do anything bar go over for Roberson and Taj + maybe a midlevel exception vet..
But I can see why people are little confused with the pick our biggest need is a back up PG/Combo guard who can play on or off the ball and run an offense well enough that Russ can get a breather and not be force back into the game…Instead they took a SG/wing player in terrance which doesn’t really fully adress this need intially at least..

MettaWorldDurant1ParticipantI agree that our biggest need was a combo guard to give Russ some relief but I’m not high on Derrick White and anybody else in that mold would have been a reach at 21.. outside shooting was just a big of a need . Roberson might leave as well. I see T Ferg as a better Terrance Ross with better handle. Defense is what I’m waiting to see
