Teams that are the best fit for Beasley.

Since there are tons of post about Beasley, most by me, I thought I would post another!

These teams, IMO, are where Beasley could fit the best..

  • Orlando Magic - The Magic could trade Redick, Orton, and a second round pick to get Beasley. The Wolves would get a developing big, who doenst get any time in Orlando, and a nice SG that has proved he can play.. Redick could step in right away and start for the Wolves, allowing them to move Johnson to the SF and let Williams be the backup or start Williams and let Johnson backup the SF/SG spot. The Magic would get a dynamic scorer that can create for himself and would take alot of pressure off of Howard and Anderson. He could start and move Turk to the bench or he could be a 6th man that scores close to 18 points a game.
  • New Jersey Nets - The Nets could move Anthony Morrow and a Future First Round Pick for Beasley and a Second Round Pick. Morrow would step right in and start at the 2, like Redick in the Magic post.. For the Nets, Beasley would start right away at SF and give them a scoring punch that they desperatly need. Also, if Williams decides to leave, they will still be left with Lopez, Humphries, Beasley, and Brooks.. All they would need is a nice, young PG, maybe someone from the draft, that can help move the ball with these guys.. Possibly a guy like Kendall Marshal.. Someone that doesnt need to shoot but can move the ball..
  • Phoenix Suns - The Suns could give up Jared Dudley and a Future First Round Pick for Beasley. Dudley fits the SG spot with Love on this team, like Redick and Morrow would. The Suns are going to lose Nash and Hill soon so this team is going to start over soon.. Beasley, Morris, and Gortat are a nice group for the team to start over. If they use this pick to get a guard to go with these guys, their rebuild could be over sooner than they think.. Beasley is a nice fit with Morris because Morris is a stretch 4 with the ability to bang in the paint..

Some of yall will disagree but where would he fit nice, other than with the Wolves?

Hmm...

Minny DESPERATELY needs a 2. Johnson is not a 2 (he's really a 3 forced to play SG), and Ellington is not starter material. Or if they could get a C, that would be nice. Darko is OK, but not necessarily a legit starter. I still think they should try to swing a deal with:

Charlotte: What about Beasley for Gerald Henderson? Just a random thought

Sacramento: I know DMC talk has died down significantly, but some combo of Ridnour, Randolph, and Beasley for Cousins would be good. Rubio's ready to take over the starting spot, and Ridnour would be a good pass-first guy there and a mentor for the young'ins. And of course, the Wolves core would have to keep DMC's @$$ in line.

Memphis: I know it's probably not gonna happen, but maybe Ridnour and Beasley for Mayo? Memphis could really use a steady backup at the point, and though Beasley may disagree, he'd be an absolutely deadly 6th man.

The Wolves are seriously targeting Mayo to play Sg

and a Beasley for Mayo deal works on a lot of levels IMO...But Kaun as said he wants Beasley, Mayo, Rubio and Love on the same team, I'm having trouble finding the link at the Moment, but Insidehoops dot com has the story of the Wolves pursuing Mayo at the Moment...I'd rather trade away Williams and keep Beasley, they could get more for Williams IMHO and Beasley is better at this point, why not keep him and chase after Mayo

A Wolves line up I'd love to see is

Rubio-Mayo-Beasley-Love-Darko with Barea-Ridnour-Wes Johnson-Randolph and Miller on the bench...

To be honest the Wolves could get Mayo and Memphis' 1st rounder in 2012 for Williams and Ellington...That would give the Grizzlies a shooter in Ellington and the future Sf/Pf in Derrick Williams, the Wolves add Mayo to play starting Sg and they get back into the 2012 Draft...

I don't want DMC at all

Didn't want DMC when he came out of college and don't want him now. I mean if his attitude was better then I would go for it, but he has a little growing to do and I feel the Timberwolves are to young and impressionable for a personality like his right now. I like the JJ Redick trade since we do need a SG and he is lights out behind the three. And if Orlando does have to move Howard, Beasley would be happy there cause he could shoot all he wants and would be the go to guy.

I thought about Wizards also, since that is his hometown area. Not sure who they would give up though.

Nick Young and Jan Vessely for Beasley and Johnson or Ellington

I think the Wolves would love to add Nick Young IMO...they do want Mayo 1st but if he's unavailable then Young fits the bill too...

I would do that trade in a minute

Nick Young for Beasley?? I would do that trade in a minute if I were Minnesota. I doubt Washington would though. They have to many young forwards as it is. Granted none are really proven much but most are in their first and second years so far.

Orlando only have 1 person in

Orlando only have 1 person in their starting lineup that can create their own shot and thats Hedo Turkuglu...And he's not the same player he was 2 years ago...They could use Beasley....

best fit is the Cavs! they

best fit is the Cavs! they have no talent on the wing and Beasley could get significant role and shine at the 3 position there, will play along pure PG in Irving that will set him up and in future regard could construct nice combo of forwords with Tristan Thompson who is very competitive, mobile PF and with time could develop to a monster defender and will be able to cover Beasley defensive weakness.

Nick Young

Nick Young would be chewed up and spit out by Adelman. Adelman already doesn't like Beasley's play in that he's a ball stopping (maybe not as much as Al Jefferson, but that's another story, haha), turnover machine. How in the hell would Adelman react to Young taking 20 ill-advised, dumb shots every game? Young also has zero defensive ability. Beasley doesn't have any interest in playing D, the Wolves don't need another defenseless player on their roster when their best player is already a defensive liability. They have no need for a ball stopping chucker like Young. Mayo would be a much better fit because he can at least pass decently and play some D.

Rudeboy, I really hope that Mayo for Ridnour deal is truly being discussed. That makes all kinds of sense for both teams. Memphis really needs someone to play PG behind Conley (especially now that Vasquez is gone), because Selby is inconsistent (not to mention, kind of a 2 guard stuck in a PG's body). Maybe we can throw in Anthony Randolph and get a second or first rounder as well?

Beasley

Beasley is not going to fit anywhere until he matures... you certainly don't want to put him on a team with other potential problems. He can be good but that's been said about players throughout the NBA's history.

Memphis has to be hating them

Memphis has to be hating them selves watching Ricky Rubio play this year...They had a chance to get him..I remember coach Hollins talking on a Memphis Sports Show after the Lottery and they got the number 2 pick..He wanted Rubio so bad,he was talking about the team needing someone to set up other players...Their War Room was really a Battle...Becuz Hollins wanted Rubio, the owner Micheal Heisley wanted Tyreke Evans and Chris Wallace the GM wanted to trade down and get Curry....But they finally decided they needed a defensive presence, shot blocker and rebounder much more,so they agreed on Thabeet..

I was thinking for a long

I was thinking for a long time of a beasley for mayo swap.... amybe with some complementary pieces or draft picks.

memphis needs to take some risk to get more scoring talent from their bench and they have to get rid of a useless mayo who still got some value. Minny would have a really promising backcourt mayo/rubio.

I was also thinking of a gortat for beasley trade. Robin lopez is becoming really promising and needs some PT to developp. Beasley would be the scoring punch the suns need on the wing. Minny could build with a solid frontcourt gortat/love and freed some PT for williams.

Bobcats or Nets

If I was to trade Beasley I'd send him to the bobcats...They lack ANYTHING at SF and PF....Maaggette is sorry as hell and Diaw needs to back to phoenix....or trading him to NJ wouldn't be a bad fit at all. A good coach in Avery Johnson and play with Deron just might boost his career

Beasley

He would be a terrible fit on a team like Minnesota, Sacramento or Washington. He would be best on a veteran team, like the Celtics (don't see how they would get him). Sacramento and Washington need more mature veterans, not more young chuckers. Beasley won't succeed on a team surrounded by more players playing for themselves, not to mention that the aforementioned teams would have little use for him.

I would seriously pee my

I would seriously pee my pants if the Wolves could swing a deal for OJ Mayo. I think he would be a perfect fit for this team, as an athletic shooter who can defend and also create for himself. The Wolves already look like they are going down a path of needing somebody to take the pressure off Rubio and Love to break down defenses. He also has playoff experience which is invaluable to a young team with not much winning in the locker room.

I Actually think that this thread should be more about Wes Johnson because he has been playing terrible so far. I do not think the Wolves shoud trade Beasley at all, due to his upside. The guy has proven he can score at a high level and I think he is just taking time gelling with Rubio, but once he does, he should be able to help them alot.

Johnson on the other hand really doesnt have elite upside, but might still have some trade value due to his role playing potential. What do people think his value around the league is right now? How umuch different is it then say the offseason?

sac town or washington

They both need a SF who can score, neither play D anyway, and they could both epicly implode with another dime head.

Whole Mayo is obviously the

Whole Mayo is obviously the ideal, I really love that Orlando fit.

and if there's One thing Sacto doesn't need it's another Isolation scorer.
