Team by Team Free Agency/Training Camps -Thoughts from the Crow's Nest...

So Friday started off very weird and controversial

The Hornets/Lakers and Rockets were denied another Star Swapping/Ring Stealing Trade

The Magic are threatening tampering charges on 2 teams(The Nets and Rockets, alledgedly)

The Hawks signed Jarron Collins and wait while Crawford finds another team to play for...Josh Smith is still unhappy and seeks trade, and I'm pegging this squad as a Lottery Team in 2012...No Hinrich, No Crawford and No Smith = NO PLAYOFFS

The Bucks have signed Mike Dunleavy Jr to a 2 year deal(hopefully he stays healthy for at least 1 of those seasons) they also Traded Dooling to The Celtics and hope they can resign Mbah Moute

The Bulls have opened camp with Bogans at Sg but await the Cap Crazed Free Agency period to see who's left over at the end...early guess would be Rip Hamilton...every other FA SG wants to be Paid!!! Also, Rose looks to be in Great Shape...Biggest Question Marks are Boozer and Noah's health...

The Pacers/Kings and Clippers will be fighting for the Title of most Cap Space Spent on Role players...(The Clippers over paid for Butler and The Kings paid Chuck Hayes 20 million over 4 years,SMH)...Still waiting for the Pacers to offer the Max to Nene...

Speaking of OVERPAID FREE AGENTS...The Zoo York Knicks have apparently offered Tyson Chandler 60 million over 4 years, that's 15 milion per for a Center that has been Injured or Underwhelming his entire carrer...Good Luck with that NEW YORK, you never learn...LOL, they've effectively taken themselves out of the CP3 sweepstakes...

Detroit has resigned Tayshaun Prince and Jonas Jerebko(which suprises some because Prince wanted out at some point last season and Jerebko has been injured as of late) Thye've now become a Middle of the Pack Team, instead of the Lottery Bound Team they resembled a year ago, buying out Rip and amnestying Charlie V could provide them much needed Cap Space, but the Stuckey situation they're in has to be resolved soon too...

The Sixers to my suprise have resigned Thaddeus Young to a 5year/42 million Deal...He'll make 8 million a year to either be 6th man or replace Iggy in the Lineup if we find a suitable deal, as there are none to be found, Thad will be an 8 million dollar backup...This team needed the Amnesty rule for Elton Brand and yet have showed 0 interest in using it...Sigh...SMH...

The Suns have taken the 8th playoff spot back from the Hornets/Clippers/Warriors or Wolves with the Moves they've made...resigning Hill, and adding Shannon Brown will be a great sign of faith to Steve Nash that they have not given up on being Competitive...The Suns could have a suprise season in store for NBA fans who declared them Dead in the Water...

The Celtics have resigned Jeff Green for 1 year, and traded Big Baby Davis to the Magic for Brandon Bass...2 LSU guys traded for one another, wow...

The Magic also Amnesty'd Arenas, The Knicks have Amnesty'd Billups and The Wizards are on the Record quoting "Rashard Lewis is safe"...2012 is approaching, The Rashard Lewis contract will survive longer than ALL of us...

Great Post... I agree with

Great Post...

I agree with you on some things...

But i still dont see the Pistons as a playoff team, this year.....There are too many uncertainities in their starting lineup..The Pistons have been a disaster every since they traded Billups..The Stuckey experiment at point guard havent worked as well as they had hoped it would..With The Knicks possibly waiving Billups, maybe Dumars can right his wrong and bring him back..The fans will love it..Maybe he calm bring some type of calm and order back to the franchise..And Monroe is expected to be among the league's most improved players..

And if Butler is healthy, that'll be a great addition to the Clippers..Becuz he's tough, can shoot, post up,a good playmaker and his defense & passing are very underrated...
