So, in 2012, the Los Angeles Lakers made the biggest splash in the offseason. Some additions include Steve Nash, Dwight howard, Antawn Jamison. But what I did not know that this would be the season that changed my outlook on the NBA. No matter how talented a team is, it’s about how much holes you can fill AND THEN how your talent makes a difference. In the Lakers case, some of the issues included Ron Ron having lost all the defensive ability he had back when he was DPOY and Nash and Kobe couldnt make up for that. And Dwight wanted to be on the post while that really took away all the versatilty that Pau could bring on the offensive end. Then on the other end Pau couldnt guard any big and it forced Dwight having to guard talented bigs while he should be focusing on protecting the rim. And the fact is Dwight didnt like the team and the team didnt like him.

So my predictions for the talent gone wrong teams are:

Bucks: not enough shooting and rim protecting.

Rockets: Ty and Harden are going to kill each other.

Clippers: Yeah I know they are 3-0, but I do not trust a team with both Lance Stephenson and Josh Smith.

Kings: Adversity is going to hit their team and I am pretty sure it’s going to be Rondo or Boogie throwing Karl under the bus and that’s when the team falls apart.

I don’t think the Bucks are necessarily talent gone wrong.  Yes, they could use more perimeter shooting and rim protecting, but I think that the team plays well enough together and they play good enough defense to get wins when they need it.  I think they’ll be close to or at a 50-win team this year.  They have a legitamate post presence with Monroe, a true scoring 2 in Middleton, and of course Giannis who is a budding talent who is improving his jump shot.  Also, Henson one of the underrated rim protectors in the league, and Middleton, Mayo, and a raw, but talented, Rashad Vaughn who are all solid perimeter threats.  Especially if Vaughn develops, they’ll be a contender in the east soon.  They might need to make a trade or two, and develop the young talent they have, but this team is going to new heights in the coming years.

pick, swap rights in 2016 & 2017 PLUS their 2018 first round draft pick for NOTHING except dumping a couple Vet salaries so they could sign more Veteran players was crazy… And all anyone asks is will the Kings make the playoffs? – who cares, they have no chance to build a champion. They’ve mortgaged their future for a one year playoff push b/c they are opening a new arena – After NINE straight losing seasons, they are still running their team like a gambling degenerate hoping to get rich spending their last dollar on a scratch off ticket…signing Rondo & Belenelli are not good long term decisions

I like what Milwaukee has done – they have a good team… In the last 12 years they have One winning season (& it wasn’t last year)… They have two players with real star potential in Parker & "Greek Freak" other players like Middleton & Monroe are solid productive pro’s… Still, I think they might have a ceiling on how far they can go… losing Brandon Knight really hurt them – he is a Much better 3 point shooter than MCW & MCW struggles w/ "on ball" defense – (he’s great off ball or help defender)…. I’ve read that the Bucks might be souring on Carter-Williams & that is unfortunate b/c they gave up that Lakers Lottery pick to get him… The Bucks are 9 games Under .500 since that trade -s o we’ll see what happens…

Harden has gotten off to a slow start & I realize that Harden & Lawson are a big name back court but neither guy plays defense… Houston is the sexy Dark Horse pick but Dwight Howard has regressed & still doesn’t have even One post move – & Harden’s amazing ability to get to the free throw line becomes very difficult in the "Half-Court Grind" that is the NBA playoffs… I just have a hard time seeing the Rockets beat a well oiled machine like the Spurs, Warriors & even Thunder are when they are healthy…

I think the biggest cause for that Lakers team’s downfall was more the fact that Nash was ancient and Kobe and Dwight will never ever get along. If they could’ve had even a little bit of chemistry then they wouldn’t have been as bad as they were, even with the holes in their team.

Really you can blame that disaster on a million things. Health, fit, not hiring Phil, attitudes, the city, david stern, cp3 trade, and the list can go on and on and on
