Do you think he’ll be more like a Blake Griffin, Paul Millsap, Kris Humphries, a young Elton Brand, or etc

I don’t think he is as athletic as Blake Griffin is, he has more upside than Millsap had at a similar age.

He’ll have a Luis Scola type role in the NBA, a very good PF but not elite but very servicable. Can hit the mid range jump shot but also take it to the whole, and is also very gritty and tough.

someone already mentioned my comparison, which is Kenyon Martin. as much polish, maybe more, as K-Mart did when he came to the league, with as much promise before he had staying healthy issues when he signed with the nuggets.

I think he is Kirk Humphries with a little more athleticism and offensive talent.  Kenyon Martin at best, Humphries at worst.  He is a pretty safe pick.

Kenyon Martin?  He plays nothing like Kenyon Martin.  Martin was never very skilled.  He mostly relied on athleticism and was never polished offensively.  Robinson is much different.  He can put the ball on the floor and get to the hoop, and also has a pretty good mid range shot.  Martin usually scored on put backs or getting buckets in transition.

To me he plays like a more athletic David West.

Half Kris Humphries half Blake Griffin.  I see his peak being somewhere in the 18 and 11 or 17 and 12 range.

K -Mart was a defensive beast but I see some similarities on the offense though

He has a lot of similarities with Blake Griffin. he’s physically strong, is a tremendous athlete, is extremely competitive and has a great motor. Blake has a higher IQ, better ball skills and because of that can function better as a hub of an offense, but i think T-Rob has a better stroke and more defensive potential. At worst i think he can be what Kris Humphries has become…and that’s not a bad player at all.

I think he can be an 18/12 player in his prime with solid defense.

to explain, I think Kenyon Martin was the better defensive player coming out of Cincinatti and TRob the better shooter/ ball handler. I think both are equal as rebounders. Were I compare them the most is their intensity. What team they land us has alot to do with it but I think TRob would be the favorite to get ROY out of everyone likely taken in the top 5

    Brian Grant.

He will be good for 14 and 8.  I wouldn’t count on too much more than that.

T-Rob is more polish than K-Mart was but he isn’t such an impressive athlete as K-Mart was when he was drafted and in his early NJ days. Sadly injury issues caught up with K-Mart and although he still had a decent NBA career and continued as a start on a play off team until last year, he never quite achieved what he might have done. So I could see T-Rob hopefully having the sort of career that K-Mart might have done.

I actually like the Al Horford comparison a lot. Both were safe top 5 picks. Strong rebounders, good defenders, but most importantly both are incredibly high motor guys. Like Horford, Robinson has the potential to develop a nice mid range jumper. They are basically the same size and wing span coming out, Robinson more musular but Horford wider. Horford is a better ball handler and passer but T-Rob is more athletic. I can see Robinson developing into a double double player right from the start much like Horford, and unlike Atlanta the team that drafts Robinson will surely keep him at the 4.

Hope for more of a Patrick Patterson or Brandon Bass-type (which requires him to develop a mid-range shot), fear more Jordan Hill, Ike Diogu, or Tristan Thompson.
