    Amidst speculation regarding the NBA’s coaching vacancies, one of the most storied franchises in the sport has a self-nominated candidate for its opening:

    I’m sure Swaggy was just being facetious, but in case you were curious, the last player-coach in the NBA was the Celtics’ Dave Cowens in ’78-’79. Cowens averaged 16.6 points in 37 minutes a night and the Celts went 27-41.
