HitsterParticipantWith James Harden having got a $170 million 4 year extension on top of his existing two remaining years and John Wall being offered a similar deal to effectively give them both 6 years on their contracts.
Can anyone confirm whether players who aren’t FAs but fit Super Max criteria can only be offered these type of deals if they have two years or less remaining on their current contract?
Guys such as Leonard, AD, DeRozan ,Gobert, Giannis etc all match Super Max criteria but would end up with potential 7 year or more contracts.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantMy understanding is if you sign it when you have 2 years left on your current deal, the most it can be for is 4 extra years (6 total) and if you sign when you have 1 year left, then it can be for 5 extra years.

cozmojimParticipantThis has nothing to do with the post at hand, but your name just reminded me of that post about Josh Smith being a Krypt and I laughed out loud.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantThat was arguably the greatest post in draftnet history. I changed my name the day after and haven’t changed it back since. Forever hilarious.

HitsterParticipantCheers SmooveKrypt, it is worth keeping an eye on who is eligible for these deals given the money they can carry.
