Maybe some of you guys who are player analyzers could help me with this, but I dont see any difference between the two. Off the top of my head Sweets avg 20 & 10 soph and junior years, POY candidate one year, had a crazy 30 20 game vs Notre Dame.

How could I forget him? Knicks took him.

I see some paraells, the issue is Sweetney gained alot of wieght. I think if Sully can avoid that, he’d be better off

What is the difference? Sullinger has dropped thirty pounds since getting to Ohio State, and Sweetney ate himself out of the NBA. If Sweetney was disciplined, he would have been a very good player. Now, he is playing in a league completely beneath his abilities in Uruguay.

Like Rico said sullenger haves alot more skill than sweetney, sullenger can score off the dribble, in the post or hitting a mid range jumper and not to mention his foot work is great, on the other hand sweetney was a bully on the block besides the weight thats another reason he wasent sucessful already being undersized at 6’8” and over weight he couldnt shoot and he forced alot of shots trying to bully through bigger and stronger PF’s the compaison is there weight when sweetney got rich he went to the buffet we’ll se what sullinger will do next year knowing he got the potential?

Question? knowing this is a weak draft do u all think sweetney wouldve been a top 5 pick coming from G’town this year with the same resume stats, size, potential…etc?

Plus Sully is doing this while leading the team to a top ranking and player of the year candidate as a freshman!!. Mike wasn’t a player of the year candidate as a Freshman. He wasn’t first or second team All-American either if I’m not mistaken. Better comparison is Kevin Love when he was in College

The main difference imo is dedication, which transfers to athletisism. Sullingers dedication to stay in shape and even lose weight has been apparent this year. He is in much better shape and is in a much better position to display his underrated athletisism. Sweetney went the other drection, gained weight and took away his athletisism.
