I cant believe nobody cares that St. Johns knocked off the number 14 team in the country in Cinncinati where is the love for the young St.Johns team. I would love to hear you guys thought on the game.

Also i would like to hear you guys thoughts on who you think can make the league on Steve Lavins team i think D'Angelo Harrison is starting to look like a NBA Prospect

Cincinnati really played a

Cincinnati really played a bad game. They shot the ball terribly and let St. John's get a lead. They started to play better toward the end of the game, but it was to little to late. Its tough for St. John's to win games because if the other team has big men they don't really have anyone to counter with besides Obekpa, and he is very raw. Lavin needs to start recruiting bigger guys and not the same type of player all throughout his lineup. It would also help if Orlando Sanchez was eligible.

Harrison is the best player on the team right now, but i don't know how much NBA potential he has because he is a 6-3 SG. We need to see more of his PG skills before I look at him as a NBA prospect. As I said before Obekpa is very raw, but I like is potential. Good leaping ability, huge wingspan, and amazing shot blocking ability. If he can develop on offense I like is NBA prospects. Also, Jakarr Sampson has big time potential. Prototipical SF size, with big wingspan and great vertical. Just needs more experience playing. Jump shot looks very awkward, but he he will make it. Good defensive potential, but is another very raw player that really just needs to develop more skills.

I've been raving about Jakarr

I've been raving about Jakarr Sampson, I think he has 1st round potential. Very good size, athleticism, and defensive potential. Very similar to Moe Harkless last year.

Just my thoughts exactly me

Just my thoughts exactly me being a fan of the johnnies I respect a win Against a ranked team in the country and win is a win no matter what. I don't know why Lavin can't recruit like he used to at one time he had a top 5 recruiting clas in the country with players like Jakarr Sampson and Norvelle Pelle who I thought would of been a monster in Big East play. I think if he can land Jermaine Lawrence I think that will give him more talent and someone to play both center and forward spots.

As for NBA prospects on the team I don't know why nobody woul want to take a D'Angelo Harrison he's as good a offensive player in the country as we have. He has the 3 levels to his game te midrange the3 and able to take it to the rack. The minibus is he is very undersized but he might have a long wingspan to counter act that. As for obepka I don know what's not to like he's the best shot blocker I'm the country but his very raw offensively scouts say the same things about Noel and Cauley-Stein the only thing is Obekpa is 6'9 but I can see he has a long wingspan maybe in the 7'2 area so he could play bigger than his height. Sampson is a player I Love had a bad game in conference play against Villanova but bounced back nicely to absolutely kill the Bearcats he's a moe harkless clone and if Moe went in the first round so can Sampson and they are putting up about the same numbers. The real question is do you guys think St. John's is a tourney team

St. John's

They'll be competitive in the Big East next year. They have a lot of talent. They're just young.
